    It's raining here.

It's glorious here. A lovely sunny morning. It's not going to be particularly warm but it looks lovely.

I looked it up, and was wrong in two respects - it was in 1979, and was about devolution rather than independence.
Yep, it wasn't called Devolution but Home Rule. I voted in it. There were more Yes votes but there was a threshhold so the dead counted against the vote. Not enough people voted. :(
My Dad's adamant he's vote "Yes" if he could - but he becomes more anti-establishment and ant-heap-kicking as he gets older, rather than the reverse which is, I think, more normal.
Nah, he's normal. My p and m have changed their attitude in just such a manner. :T

You can't buy a Victoria sponge - they are so quick and easy to make, honestly! Hurl a few ingredients into a bowl all at once, mix and cook for 20 minutes. Quicker than going out to buy one.

I'm definitely more anti-establishment than I used to be. The longer you live, the more incompetence you see!

Re Victoria sponge - not everyone has the ingredients in the house - I really can't stand eggs so I only buy them on a special trip if needed for cooking. Won't have them in the house normally.

Wasn't there a referendum in about 1980, though?

I like Huw Edwards - don't like Andrew Marr, though, he's far too much of an appalling hypocrite for my taste.

I feel a bit sorry for them, having to blether non-stop about nothing for hours!
They get well paid for it.

Well its grey here, and a bit wet, but sort of mildly muggy.

I'm not sure what to wear. I was too hot walking dogs and doing chickens but think I'd be too cold in a light dress.

I've never understood why people put stuff like that somewhere like that. If I had any files that it would be catastrophic for me to have leaked (which I haven't) then I wouldn't keep them remotely.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

I think, for a lot, it's that their device automatically uploads/backs up to "the cloud" and they really don't know/understand or realise what that means, or where it is.... and some won't even know it's going on.

I think ipad / iPhone backs them up automatically on to the cloud everyday.

I have sent dodgy pics to consultants using ipad. If they say, take a pic now on your ipad and send it to me I think great, that's a visit fee saved. Not......someone's trawling through the cloud for things like this
