Just been through a horrific thunderstorm - it was wild. I was petrified.... heart-rate's been at least double for the last hour. Even turned the PC off and unplugged it from the wall.
Garden flooded, I was panicking house might flood, gutters couldn't cope and the deluge of water from the roof was like a solid waterfall as it just fell from over the edges of the gutters.
"Direct hits" with the storm overhead, ground shaking, blinding lightning. Seemed to be 1-2 storms at a time, with a total of 4-5 storms passing....and I can see another black cloud coming over now.....0 -

. It was certainly still here at one, though further away, and I thought it was moving east. Maybe its another set, sounds similar though!0 -
Can't remember if I've posted this link before; it's to a real-time lightning map

Weather on the telly showed a map - looks/sounds like it'll be storms on/off all morning/day ..... got another tame rumbler passing over now..... the one earlier was ferocious and scarey - including one blinding flash, followed by somebody's car alarm going off, that makes you think "that just hit something .... hope it wasn't me"0 -
I suspect that if you were struck by lightning then you'd notice!0

I've never understood why people put stuff like that somewhere like that. If I had any files that it would be catastrophic for me to have leaked (which I haven't) then I wouldn't keep them remotely.
I suspect that in the case of most celebs, 'leaked' sex tapes are just another thing to keep the names in the papers. Not in the case of this iCloud thing but generally.0 -

Well, you might not ... e.g. sockets upstairs could have been blown out... house certainly shook! And, it's what happens next that's the big fear.... dealing with it!
I've never liked the responsibility/ownership part of house-dwelling0 -

Betfair emailed me yesterday to say that my account hadn't been touched in a year and if I didn't do something I would be hit by an inactive charge. So I bet £2 on Scotland saying no. 33p profit:money:
I then thought that, if I really believed Scotland were going to say no, the £ may strengthen, so I changed a chunk of Euros to sterling for the business, making rather more than 33p. So thanks betfair!lostinrates wrote: »it does that automatically doesn't it?
Also, I keep deleting things I think I have deleted already.
A friend was sent an amusing picture on WhatsApp. Definitely NSFW. Unbeknown to her, her WhatsApp settings save any photo sent into her photo folders, that get backed up to the cloud. That afternoon she had a lesson in the Apple shop (apparently they do free lessons) and her photos were opened from the cloud for the whole class to see.:rotfl::rotfl:I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. These storms, where the water buckets down, are both terrifying and wonderful at the same time. It demonstrates the majesty of nature. We tend to forget that with our ordered lives.
On the plus side, maybe the furries have drowned? No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
