Does that mean there's less confidence that Yes will win? (Too late at night to get my head round odds!)you gov on day poll 54 no 56 yes released - I suspect pretty accurate.
Now they have voted no will we still have to pay al the bribes that were offered in the last weeks?
Oh yes, we will. :eek:0 -

As a half Scot, I was going for a no vote. A someone living in England, in light of the 'promises' of the past couple of weeks I am quite hoping for a yes vote. With all my best wishes for a prosperous independence. I think it its wrong to offer such concessions with no consideration of the rest of the country.0 -
I think the people's democratic alliance front of Hertfordshire will be pushing for an independence vote sometime very soonI think....0

Blimey, both BBC and ITV have started their interminable coverage of the results already, with programmes that go on until 0600 (i.e. probably just before the final result is actually known as I think it's been estimated to be due 0630-0730).
Given that first results aren't due for another 3 hours or so, you can foresee that both programmes are likely to be constant rehashing things from different perspectives, with massive speculation on what will happen on different topics, ad nauseum.
I am pleased I'm going to bed shortly ...0 -

Yes, odds of Yes are still mounting. you can get 16/1 on Yes now - ie it's gone from getting £6 back for a £1 bet to £16 back for £1 bet (you don't get your stake back on betfair).0 -

My council leader (who can be a bit of a twit at times) has been angling for a Yorkshire regional assembly. As I said, he's a bit of a ... We'd still be beholden to London for finance, we'd be beholden to the more urban areas of Yorkshire for decision making, we'd have to pay lots of money to support this additional layer of bureaucracy, and I don't see the point.
The NE rejected the idea in a ballot a few years ago and the idea hasn't improved since ...0 -
Blimey, scintillating stuff. Huw Edwards has just asked Andrew Marr (in Edinburgh) what's going to happen, and he's said that they're going to be counting votes!!
And they've all got high-vis jackets on.
Apparently it's a campaign like he's never seen in his lifetime (durr, yes, it's a first-in-300 years and not just the 20th century).
There aren't any exit polls because they don't know how to do this because it's a unique event, a one-off (just in case we don't know the meaning of the world unique).
Are there any clues as to the result? They're doing a colourful wall based on voting at the European elections. And now ordering councils according to % of people who were born there. Blimey, they are desperate.
The banality is already winning the superlative awards.
I definitely need to switch over as I'm going to have such raised blood pressure I won't be able to sleep. Mind you, I bet R5L will have equally awful coverage at this stage of proceedings.
