Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Went out looking for citronella oil or candles. What a palava. Without knowing the right sort of shop I thought I'd try "any shop that looks like it might sell candles or little bottles of oil". First "health food" shop was closed. Holland & Barrett had some citronella oil, but at £5 and on a BOGOF - trouble was they only had one bottle and I've no need to randomly buy another oil just to get the freebie, I'd have been happy having to buy two citronella - I offered her "half price" but she declined. Finally got some (probably cr4p) neon pink citronella candles, in a sort of earthenware (?) plant pot clay saucer - got two of those. Lobbed them in the shed.

I found a large dead house spider on the floor today. I asked OH who was rotting on the sofa whether she wanted it. Because she always ignores me when I talk she didn't listen and just said "yes". So I dangled it by the leg in front of her face. She wasn't pleased...0 -
I tried to reset my laptop today using the ACER reset facility on it. It is now stuck in a constant feedback loop saying it can't install windows. It turns out I should have googled it before trying as everyone else in the world appears to have the same problem.0
