I think my introduction to all that stuff was some dodgy websites as a curious teenager. I think your way is better Gen.

    Fathers day sounds lovely!

I honestly answer all the kids' questions when I can, sometimes I have to go away to research the answers especially as The Boy seems to be really quite interested in quantum physics.

It is. I do lots of the stuff that is 'women's work' (yeah I know) around the house: I cook, help clean, shop, wash up, iron, do the laundry at the moment (normally I'm banned from that though). It's nice for the family to be able to do stuff for me. Mrs Generali has even threatened to clean the kitchen!

My big shed spider has ..... got a bigger mate ... he's huge, with noticeable bobbles on his big antennae. I'll need to buy some spray now. Two of them = tons of bigger bugg4hs by next spring if I just shut the door.

    Nuisance.

Might also go out to see if I can find a few old conkers lying on the ground and toss them into the shed.... and keep an eye out for some lemon oil spray.

I took photos - not checked if they came out/are blurry as the idea of checking them repulses me ..... I might get round to showing a picture later, once I've got a solution. While the shed is mostly fine/OK, I did notice two ants in there too ..... next spring I'll empty the shed entirely and reorganise it, with shelving/hooks etc and give it a really good sweep/clear out. I didn't do that earlier as at first I didn't even have a lock on it and then I put stuff in it .... and now I don't fancy it. At the moment it's "job done, off the list". To empty it now would be madness as it's creating work that can wait.

Just back from town. My closest friend at work has a Big Birthday next weekend. She is celebrating with her family, but won't be drinking cocktails like the rest of them as she is pregnant.

I have bought her some cocktail-themed posh alert toiletries, and have seen some non-alcoholic cocktails so will buy her a bottle too. The 'four zero' cards in town were hideous, so I've bought a giant '4 today' card instead. :D

The sun is shining here, so I'm off into the garden now...

I got loads of hugs and kisses too.

I think some one should bring in a childless persons day. Everyone could hug is and kiss us and bestow us with trinkets.

My last borrowed baby/ toddler is now at proper school. I have a first day photo of a tallest person in class in too big blazer, cute hat, and old fashioned shoes that make me really find of the school, could be the same uniform as in the forties.

But now I have no toddler to borrow. :(

And a single persons day where we can be told how special we are, and get taken out for dinner.

We'll take you out to dinner when you come and stay if you like, or cook for you here......which ever you prefer. But you'll certainly be told you're special. Anyone who helps here is certainly special.

Um the childless can do hugs and kisses without interruption whenever they chose and afford trinkets...
