. Even though I like the hot tub thing now I cannot bring my self to a spa bath. The London flat had one and it almost vomited the first time I cleaned it properly, all black stuff came out of the reservoir when I bleached it. The idea that I was bubbling in other people's un cleaned filth from the reservoir was all a bit yucky, In an ensuite where its just your own and your partners yucky filth maybe less bad, But they aren't very pretty
Umm, do they have a reservoir? Surely just a pump?No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
For Fruitloops Sake, how hard can it be to buy a project car?
8th weekend in a row.... Nothing that feels right.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

We're back, from an absolutely lovely week at Watergate Bay. OH chose a fantastic flat practically bang next to the beach, closer to the beach than most of the car parking spaces for it! The weather was a bit iffy, on and off, but the sea was pretty warm (17 degrees C) so we had a wonderful time. It doesn't actually matter if the air's cold and it's raining once you're in the sea, and if you are staying close by, you don't get cold after you get out.
OH bought a "Temple of Kerm" AKA "Kermie Shrine" and we could keep the baby, towels, snacks and water in there, and spend most of the rest of the time in the sea. Kermie really liked being in the tent, because he could hear the sea, watch the sun on the tent's canvas, but he didn't get cold / wet / too sandy. We did lots of swimming and body boarding, and some surfing, too.
One rather enthusiastic day we were in the sea from 9 am to 6pm in shifts, then got bathed and dressed and walked along the south-west coastal path to Lusty Glaze for dinner. It's only about 3 miles, but after being in the sea all day, all those hills and steps seemed quite hard work. Isaac was exhausted by the time we got there. OH was revoltingly bouncy, despite having carried Kermie all the way in the sling, and *carried Isaac up a hill* at the same time!
As Kermie yelled a lot of the way from London and the traffic wasn't great, we decided to come back at night - we left at about 8pm and it was a good idea. Kermie and Isaac slept almost all the way, and everyone else was tucked up in their nice warm beds / Moses baskets / cots so it was a smooth if tiring journey <yawn>
I'll try to catch up on the NP thread, though you lot haven't half been rabbiting on while we were away........much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0
