I think michaels' problem is that the turbo's gone.... and I believe that you shouldn't drive a car in that condition.... so the turbo needs to be fixed, or replaced. One question might be that, as all a turbo does is takes exhaust gases and puts them into a funnel that gets narrower and narrower, then squirts them back into the system, whether it can be removed and reconfigured for now without it.
As a rule, there's nothing in a turbo - so they can't fail .... if it's fitted correctly then it should just work. If it doesn't work then you need to do exploration to look at the root cause of the failure. Just sticking another one on could mean the new one blows shortly.... so it's not even as simple as a unit swap.0 -

What is the icebucket challenge?
MY FB feed and a post I actioned was to post a picture of James Foley. From the horror and sadness a social media sign of caring about him and them across the world to his parents.0 -
So he's bought paint and you've bought paint too?
I wish I had! I just called him to say I was heading into the shop from the car to be told he'd already been. He's home now, I'm going to look at it. It has to be better than what is already there, so that's positive.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Am just heading off out. Back in a few hours. I think you have my email address. Email me a selection of Thursdays that you can do.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

It was started in Boston, I think, by a famous baseball team to raise awareness of ALS (Motor Neurone Disease on this side of the pond) and raise money for their ex-team mate. Over here, MacMillan have picked up on it aswell. You're nominated, you donate, take the challenge and then nominate.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Out of order IMHO. A relatively small charity hits on a good idea to raise funds and publicity, and a big charity muscles in on the action.
Most famous sufferer of MND is Stephen Hawkings, but the vast majority of people struck down by it end up in a wheelchair within a year and generally don't survive more than 3-5 years.

I think you're right. People pick the one that is more obvious to them and MacMillan have been promoting ads on facebook.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Where's michaels when you need him to say if this is a good deal... http://www.tesco.com/direct/blaupunkt-32146-32-inch-hd-ready-720p-led-tv-with-freeview/394-3432.prd
All I want is a telly ... not a big telly, not a posh one with stuff on that I don't understand/know about.... but I had in my mind about this much for budget.
So - any cheap telly experts got an opinion?
That HD lark.... not even sure if it works here (or what it's all about).
All I want/need is a reliable, cheap, telly with freeview.0 -
