    Aaaargh.

In 17 years, the boy has never bought paint other than magnolia, white or black without me. It's usually me going alone to specialist decorators shops.

He went out and bought the Sea Urchin 2 even though I said I would go to Homebase. I didn't even realise we'd agreed, although he says we did. Drab it is then.

I feel like crying. I should probably get some perpective on it.

Legislation says they can have cords, but the cords have to have breakaway connectors. There's also a lot more to it ... the sort of legislation you think you can red/understand, but then it turns out to be so confusing you're as lost as when you started.

No "take it back, swap it" options at that shop?

It may be that whilst fresh white would look better, that slightly sumfaded 'grubby' white would look much worse?

I don't do shame if there is a bargain available …

Hoaw about institution beige or green to get that prison chic look?!

Talking of institutions, I was in a trade decorators centre a couple of weeks ago and they were mixing up litres and litres of very dark cherry red for the local prison.

Wouldn't that make the inmates see red, literally?

Some research a few years back said if you painted cells/prisons in light pink it made the inmates better behaved. Decorating in "Murderous Red Blood" doesn't seem very switched on.

Oh yes, so it does. Sorry. But still, it should greatly increase the number of cordless options for roller blinds that lir should be able to find. :)

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Are you short of time? Does it need doing before you return home? I suppose local facebook groups may throw up some recommended garages.

My facebook newsfeed was dominated by Gaza, now it is overrun by fat men taking the ice bucket challenge. Men really need to learn that t-shirts should remain in place, if they have the figure where looking at their toes while standing up requires leaning so far forward that they risk toppling.

This made me LOL! The icebucket challenge has gathered huge momentum and the numbers grow every day on my timeline.

Actually, along with the fat men, Jeremy Piven was on my timeline doing it this morning. Better than all the others put together.

    You need a hug.

Want to meet up some time? I can do Thursdays in school hours in term time if you can flex your working hours a bit.

It has to be mixed individually for the purchaser :(. What is more annoying is that I have made it home first, so he saved no time, which is what he said he was doing.

I'll have to take out my frustration on the bits from the new carpet I am about to hoover with my new hoover.

So he's bought paint and you've bought paint too?
