As far as I can see, Christopher Jeffries was guilty of having let his hair grow too long, so he looked a bit odd. I've made a note to keep my hair tidy, just in case one of my neighbours dies in suspicious circumstances.
He was also guilty of being a landlord and in that capacity having a key to the flat that he was letting.
Am still consciously enjoying not having anything under my eyelid.
Have a nagging feeling that there was something I meant to reply to a little while ago that got missed out ... ah yes, here it is:Apologies in advance for what will be regular updates. Feel free to block me for a couple of months (or longer)
You are kidding, right? We WANT regular updates. Kermie has been the first Nice Baby, and this is going to be the Nice Thesis.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
Quite proud of this effort
Don't quote - will delete (not that it's very interesting):

Is the idea that once you put a name 'in play' perhaps other victims/witnesses will come forward (especially if the mark is loaded and there might be compensation/damages....)
that is one of the justifications sometimes used.
But the police like doing it, such as when they execute search warrants or arrest people for, say, fraud or theft. It's not likely others will come forward in those cases in the same way.
Here, where they've not even interviewed him, it seems pretty iffy, I reckon. As far as I can see, Christopher Jeffries was guilty of having let his hair grow too long, so he looked a bit odd. I've made a note to keep my hair tidy, just in case one of my neighbours dies in suspicious circumstances.
Guilty of the well-known offence of being the local weirdo, I think. Contrary s.12 of the well-known Hysteria in the Media Quick Do Something Act 1992....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
Too much living in interesting times
I hope someone is benefiting from the pleasure of spirit's company this arvo.
micheals what has happened?
I had Nice hospitality, met a very Nice boy, saw the Nice baby and Nice balloon. Can vouch that their Nice mummy is taking having a small awake baby and older child very much in her stride.
I also caught a bus:eek: using a Nice Oystercard. I has been a topic of discussion at home this evening...as it was as exotic an experience as any foreign travel I have done in recent years.
Verdict I liked the bus. It was better than Tube travel.0 -
Hope he enjoys his retirement!
My DW is retiring next month. I don't half envy her!
Congratulations Mrs Zag.:j That is quite a milestone. As that is something I have thought about in the last year...and will face in a few years again I am quite fascinated by peoples motivation to retire...is it a 'decision' or a consequence? Also the "what next" plan.
Was this a longstanding plan/age related thing or a "time for a change" decision?
Does she have a post retirement plan or are you looking forward to more HM meals and your ironing being upto date;)
Don't answer if it is too personal.0 -
If I seem to be responding to things in an odd order, it is because I am catching up...going from the end backwards.0

On a completely different note...
I have just paid off my "mortgage", posted on the mortgage free roll of honour, and then remembered to cancel the standing order to my dad.
Enjoy your new found status as MF. It is a shame you cannot have a real badge to wear...something to celebrate.0 -
I've never tried painting outdoor furniture. The closest i have got is buying teak oil and not getting round to using it. Can you just paint weathered hardwood like indoor softwood? Simple as that?
I successfully applied linseed oil to teak garden furniture for a few years...then one year it stayed 'tacky' for a long time so I have not done it since.
What I like is that the teak weathered to a silver grey rather than a 'colour' being applied.0 -

While recovering last year she was very unpleasant to every one..
Hard times:(:(
