Lir, how on earth did Twinkies make it into your store cabinet? I didn't even think they were sold here. They did not strike me as the sort of foodstuff (I use that term in the loosest possible sense) that would be in your house and that fir would prefer some obscure stinky cheese with an unpronounceable name. Is it fir's guilty pleasure? Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Whilst in the US, I saw a short film about how Twinkies are made, so I thought I must try one. I could only find a 10-pack at the local supermarket, but it was not very expensive. I bought that, tried a single bite out of one of them, and could go no further. I left the remaining nine in my room for the cleaner.
I should add that I have a sweet tooth, and I am not particularly discerning about what I eat. But these were something else!No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

You can get Twinkies on Ocado! A pack costs £7.50. I think I spent $2-3 on mine, and I reckon I was robbed. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

DH grabbed a few at work, but you can buy them in London. Fir is a gourmand. Occasionally needs a junk food hit. Not as part of regular diet. Both he and RP have 'naughty drawers' in the kitchen.
We told kiwi he could have another when he brings me another rat.0 -
£7.50? I'm gobsmacked. They should be cheap as chips. Horrid things. Like you GDB, I've tried one once, never again. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? For fear of upsetting you, they don't look very comfortable. Are you able to sit on one, somewhere? They look a bit like waiting room type sofas. I don't like the idea that the base of the cushion you sit on is a slab of wood.
I know you don't like eBay that much, but my solution to a limited budget is usually to buy better quality second-hand. I've just bought two lovely sofas for £280. Everybody who has been in thinks that they're new.
The trouble with ebay is it's hit and miss - and hours/weeks of looking .... and I don't know what "quality" feels like as I've never sat on a quality sofa
I am a simple person, with simple needs
With ebay, too, it's difficult to go and see any sofa before you buy it (distance, it's an auction site) .... then there's the cost of the delivery and arranging that. So it's a bit of a faff.... also, things like that work best in areas where things are in huge supply - you live near the Midlands, where most things are available, easily, in great volumes.... lots of central distribution depots, lots of huge cities.... so stuff's more likely to come up, more often, more conveniently. It doesn't work like that everywhere.0 -

Horrid, aren't they? They were too sweet for me even as a kid.0
