Not on the high street is a weird site IMO.

Today I went on there to look for hooks for the back of the bathroom door, and its hard to filter and they have SO much stuff! a lot of which is frankly.....very much on the high street. Or available cheaper or better on the high street, and because there is so much, and its solely filtered, I almost never look through all search results before getting board and wandering off.

Haven't found hooks yet. I want three I think.

Have you seen the hands ones? I will try and find the site for you tomorrow as I wanted them here but they spooked OH out. Def will sneak them into the new house though.
I will have a look for them now.

Fc123, lovely to see you! :)

Sounds like quite a time you've had!

Margate house looks amazing! So much potential too!

Mind you, current home looks lovely. Can I ask where the leaves/flowers things on the wall came from? Tempted to steal that idea!

Thanks for the kind & positive words and prayers friends. :)

Very much noted! Though worryingly, your diary gets fuller every time I log in :rotfl:

You serious? That would save me a fair bit!:j

I did too. Can't wait. Think they're lovely!

Yes, LJ, unless they've moved since yesterday lunchtime. The men folk have been doing stuff out there. We have no van so we might have to wash them and choose a sunny day for top-down on the Eos. Or would they blow away!?

Not as expensive as they look (if you consider how mucha big picture could cost.
They are from photowall in Sweden. Mind you, if I had known we were going to sell, I wouldn't have done them. Having said that, they went down really well and both potential buyers are going to keep them up. I think they were about £125 per wall and very easy to hang.
They didn't do a pic of the hallway but I used a Cole and Son geo one and it was way more expensive and not as good quality.

It's lovely to see you, fc! I hope you're back for a while? :)

The house is very beautiful, you deserve to sell quickly. The colours are lovely and I like all of the wall dressings and the rug a lot! I thought you were staying in the London house for some reason, but the Margate house also has bags of potential.

Doozer / anyone else - do you have any experience of using reflective film to cut out the amount of light coming through glass. Our garden is west-facing so in the afternoon the sun comes into the back room via the glass roof of the conservatory. Curtains are below the angle that the sun is coming in and it's impossible to see the TV when the sun is out and it's starting to cheese me off. I was wondering if sticking some sort of film on the glass might help (and help to keep the room a bit cooler too)? Obviously I can see that there are various things you can buy - but do any of them actually work?

Sorry, chewy, I have no idea. My solution would involve moving the TV :o

    What about conservatory roof blinds?

Moving the TV wouldn't really work as (a) the layout of the room prevents it and (b) ms chewmylegoff looked very cross when I suggested it...

I was hoping for some sort of sticky back plastic solution possibly involving a cut up washing up liquid bottle. :(
