I had not even thought of looking for flamingos!0 -
Any other NP put the heating on?
I know it's probably because I just got back from Georgia (supposedly similar temp, but completely different climate), but we're all really cold.......
Just dug the winter duvets out, until the weather gets little nicer.💙💛 💔0 -

I'm boiling! Heating won't go on here until [a] it's cold I've got the confidence to turn on the heating -and- work out how it works.0 -

I thought it was pretty cold last night so I shut the small top windows but it didn't seem to help much - this morning I discovered that DW had opened and left open the large side windows...I think....0 -
I still have the windows openEverything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

It's meant to be cool for a couple of weeks I think. I was cold on station run this morning certainly......and I opted for trackies and a jumper. But its not cold enough for closed windows yet, but I have added a couple of blankets to the bed. ( trying to not use heaviest duvet yet because trying to wean myself off mountains of bedding)
The sky tonight is spectacular. Like a stage or film set of a dramatic night. Black and silver and sepia, ash grey. Almost starless, and very furious. That bright moon looks vengeful tonight.0 -
I don't open windows .... I've read too many police warning leaflets about having windows open to feel safe doing that
I'd like to open windows ..... but then I'd not be able to relax
And then there's moths/things that come in.
So I keep them closed.
The "perfect" house had little openers, not close to drainpipes etc. This house has windows big enough for me to crawl out of! 7 openers on the ground floor, 5 on the first floor.
One annoying thing about my windows that I've not mentioned is .... the kitchen windows. I once had DG fitted to a house - they looked lovely, until I stood by them to look down the road ... and realised that the whole central horizontal strut and top frame/opener were all at eye level, so I either had to stoop, or stand on tip-toe to look out of the window. Swore blind I'd never make that mistake again. Unfortunately, that's exactly how my kitchen windows are...!0 -

I read that as haven't found books yet. I want three I think. Knowing you like books for younger people, I was going to suggest My Sister Lives on the Mantelpiece, though having read your message over, I'm not convinced that books make good hooks, especially not paperbacks. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.
