Spirit, have you heard from NDG?
I was not able to with hold rat nor rabbit, dog dog is checking rabbit over for a squeaker ( just in case) and kiwi is killing his white rat over and over again.
Big dog ate an apple and went back to bed

Today one of our most reckless spends is due to arrive. But I have no eta for it.
I want to pop out to the fish monger for some supper. ( via agricultural merchant for chicken food, which could wait till next week, but I really fancy good fish......and the fishmonger does the best seafood salad I have ever tasted too............). Hope the reckless spend arrives in the morning.0 -
Is your new home near the cross rail route?
Nowhere near it, although it would provide a better alternative to the DLR when the jubilee line is down. At the moment they always both go down together because the DLR immediately gets over crowded and if it happens in the morning bank station gets overcrowded, so will be good to have another way to get back into town. Although there are plans to double the size of canary wharf so not sure it will really make a material difference in the long term.0 -
New table built .... and new lamp built (except putting a bulb in it as I wanted to see/check I could build it before getting caught up in which bulb to use. New cordless screwdriver used for the first time.
40 minutes to do those two.
Hand hurts now ..... from gripping the screwdriver. I did screw up the (20) screws by hand for the first 10 turns, to get them started + the first 5 were final-tightened by hand as the screwdriver wasn't all that great.... then I realised I was probably using the wrong bit as the phillips end was a bit chewed.... so, with a smaller bit, it was getting so far, then spinning off. Used the next size up for the remaining screws.
While it's a nifty table .... there's no way I'd ever stand on it to change a lightbulb!0 -
Good luck chewy.
CBA to water the plants last night. It had rained a bit but not that much so I gave them some water this morning. Was up early finishing some work so was bleary eyed.
Then I saw it - a huge (ie full sized) runner bean :j
That has totally brightened up my day

Not heard.
I think she takes travelling to and across London in her stride. Mere mortals would feel the need to plan an expedition, report progress and announce safe arrival .
If rat is killed will kiwi help himself to rabbit?
Woe betide another dog on the beach who approaches Ben's tennis ball.0 -

No reckless spends here. OH has gone all MSE this week. This amounts to moving us form BT to plusnet, saving £40 per month..well he has requested a mac code so that is a start.
He also demolished my proposal that I would buy oil today. We have half a tank and oil prices are low, but he believes we will get the same price in a few weeks when the tank is lower.
I thought he was suggesting we put the heating on to use up the oil more quickly.:)
He is not very MSE usually ..maybe the creosote fumes have gone to his head.
I too am shopping for fresh fish today, as I missed the stall in the square yesterday.
Otherwise I am at a bit of a loss. I want a fun social day, am currently choosing between going back to bed, ironing or weeding between paving blocks. I could do the housework..but I am not keen . OH is going to tennis tonight so will be home alone then ..I think I want a freind over to play with:)
If Pastures is not careful I may invite myself over to erect shelves.0
