Tiling in the downstairs toilet is going to be dark grey floor and light grey walls. With grouting to match. Question. Feature wall has dark grey mosaic tiles. Should the feature wall be grouted in light grey or dark grey? Mosaic tiles are 2" square not super tiny. Other tiles are 10" x 24" set out like bricks rather than in rows.
Hmmm... I have dark grey floor tiles in my kitchen and they have the charcoal grout. I think they look great and don't like the white/light grey alternative. However with mosaic tiles, I'm not sure they would stand out enough. Would it be possible to do it in light grey and if you don't like it somehow dye the grout? I don't know the answer to that, but would have thought it is easier to change from light to dark than vice versa.
ETA: forgot to mention the other day, Dulux has some really nice greys on its expanded colour chart (not the standard one in stores). I really like the grey whites, such as marble white and Swedish white. I think they fall under the heritage colour charts. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? That's lovely Pastures. Thanks for the link, I've been trying to visualise it. If I suggested it to DH he would sadly think I've lost the plot. He is not a glitter man:(.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? If you'd asked me I'd have said what a ridiculous idea and it'd look !!!!. Mine's not full on, it's clear it's there when you look, but it's not in your face .... having seen it, I'd suggest it to others to explore. I think some on that link have an overload of glitter - and some of the colours are vile
Mine's probably close to looking like this http://www.tilemountain.co.uk/media/catalog/category/resized/400_400_glitter-grout.jpg with a little less glitter.0 -

That's lovely. They look like my floor tiles so I can really visualise that in my kitchen.
It makes me want to get some clear glitter nail varnish and do a top coat on my groutPlease stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Do you remember as a child when bits of pavement sparkled in the sun. Or quartz in malls / shopping centres/ department store floors? It was like wonder and magic. In adults we are too blas!. I love matt chalky flat things, but I also love the idea of a glinting grout, the more subtle one. Just a cheeky glint as a the light hits it.
I'm glad you brought this posh alert to us pn, I am glad to know about it.0 -

The men here have ruled out glitter grout. But very helpfully PN one of the pictures had a wall with 2 different coloured grouts so we can compare. I think the light wins.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I volunteer to help get your forum questions answered and keep the forum running smoothly. About 8-10 years ago a road was resurfaced in Newquay that used crushed up old mirrors, so it glitters in certain lights. It's the road leading down to Fistral Bay. You could walk past and never know, but if you know and are there in the right light, you can see it.0 -

Aren't dark cars something like 10 times more accident-prone than light ones? There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0
