He's working up to how to tell you he's lost his job .... for the last week he's been going out and sitting in the park eating sandwiches all day, but he knows he'll have to tell you soon.... it'll be winter and the library's too boring to sit in all day
He is not very MSE usually ..
Can anybody remember when I had to go out each morning, pretending I had a job, as the LL lived next door....? That was awful, so boring....... always trying to find places to sit in the parked car where I wouldn't be spotted ... and kill hours. Thank god they moved out and rented their place!0 -

Then he could be home with me...playing nicely.
I remember..it seemed an extreme response.
The ironing won. I have also hung out one lot of washing and put some of daughters washing on. The last two 'jobs' are useful to put on the list and tick off..as they are not much effort but give two completed activities..makes me feel better/less idle.
I think the weeding is next...it is not much to do...but I think I am being heroic.
Nikksters bean(congratulations by the way:)) inspired me to look at my beans. Tiny baby beans so far.0 -
Our weeding is a shocking task. We look like we have a bind weed garden ATM.

Reckless spend has arrived. Somehow looks less impressive
Having a rest after the excitement then going for fish. 0 -
Can you tell what the reckless spend was on?
My fish will be MSE...when I hung the washing out £15 fell out of a pocket .
Am thinking of driving down to a dock where fishing boats come in..a bit out of the way but would make more of an outing of it. Could try and lure Mr Spirit out to lunch.
Fairly determined that today is not spent on chores.0 -

.
Bindweed has been SBK'd this year as I gave in and used teh reduction in chooks as a reason for using weedkiller. It has worked:T
The mares tail on the other hand is getting a life of its own in a few places...all suggestions welcome..including nuclear options.0 -
Yes, it was a Tuscan olive tree. Not a great big gnarly one, but one that will feel like home to fir
. Some time ago now we went on a day trip towards doozers to a ace they import them to have a look and choose it. They aren't very popular in uk this sort, because people, if they are going to spend, go for beautiful, thick gnarly trunks. Its going to go outside dh's study window 0 -
Not heard.
I think she takes travelling to and across London in her stride. Mere mortals would feel the need to plan an expedition, report progress and announce safe arrival .
If rat is killed will kiwi help himself to rabbit?
Woe betide another dog on the beach who approaches Ben's tennis ball.
Avatar Dog tended to kill tennis balls. He was better with one of these, which didn't even get dented when he chewed it, let alone punctured and then dismembered, which was what happened to tennis balls.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

I can recommend an expert in this field ..... who you might be able to book in exchange for B&B after their current contract ends.... which appears to be the painting of a front doorlostinrates wrote: »We look like we have a bind weed garden ATM.

I think most things look less impressive.... certainly a lot of Ikea's stuff looked less impressive in the flesh (and a lot of it looked TINY as you don't get a sense of size/scale on the website). Some of their stuff looks as if it's been custom built to fit into tiny modern flats.lostinrates wrote: »Reckless spend has arrived. Somehow looks less impressive

It's always good to see, touch, sniff and paw.
I have measured up the Bed2 alcove ... and realise that if I build the two Ikea shelves they'll fit like bookends on the left/right sides... leaving 1.1 metres between them to "stick other/random stuff". Then, taking an expanding curtain pole and some net curtains (which I do have quite a few of), I can simply place this between the left hand shelf and the right hand shelf to shield off the area of junk.
Alcove is about 70cm deep, shelves are 65cm wide....
Alcove is about 165cm wide, shelves are 28cm each deep (56cm).0 -

I need to spend today on chores ... but not quite yet!
