Some cheeky neighbour b4st4rd has not only parked on my freehold land between my gate and my car..... (I think I saw who did it) .... but that's blocked me in.
Not supposed to happen .... cheeky bugg4hs. Hope they've gone before I want to go out in 45 minutes..... I don't want to/shouldn't have to go door knocking to find out whose car it is.
I think it was the house I park up against.... I was outside half an hour ago and heard their side gate clunk and saw somebody whip out to their car in their car parking space in front of their house..... and then they moved it and stuck it on my land.
Cheeeeeek.
Edit: Ah, just heard a car door clunk, maybe that's them leaving. Cheeeeeeky.
Edit 2: No, they're just sitting in there.... her space is empty, why not park in her space! Odd.0 -

He's had a quick look, not sure what went wrong, but offered the suggestion that "something didn't go through right with the order on our system" .... and somebody will be in touch, at latest Monday, to sort this out.
Knew it would work.

Probably Sue Halpin's replacement!
BT have lots of monkies. At least these ones speak English with a UK accent. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

My other phone doesn't work... my smartphone with included minutes. Can't get a signal. It's a Tesco one.... Nikkster thought that was O2, so I went into the shop and they told me it's not ... so I have to go to Tesco and remember ... I went to Tesco and remembered, got in the shop and forgot to ask them....
It's on the list.
I didn't explain very well.
Tesco mobile piggybacks off the O2 network:

So I don't understand why my O2 phone appeared to be working fine but you had no signal. You'd needed to speak to Tesco about it though.
Sorry, my fault for telling you half the story.0 -
...
Actually, I've just lost it, for the first time ... I know I had it in screwfix.... maybe it's in the car... I'll go check.
Yeah, it was on the passenger seat, under my big screwfix receipt.
Right... better be off.... having my tea cooked.... it won't be prize-winning, but it's company and a chat (they'll be on the JDs .... I've got my soft drinks clutched in a Tesco bag).0 -
My understanding: there are a limited number of licences for mobile operators, say 6. So that means everyone else (eg Tesco) has to partner up with someone who has a licence (eg O2).
That is the limit of my understanding0 -
I managed to sleep through last nights thunder storms, but it's started again here. LOUD! I thought a lorry had overturned outside. We had really impressive overhead lightning... rain... power cut. I woke up to the lightning, thought, "cool lightning" then went back to sleep.
Woke me up. Then it stuck something that took our power out. Just back on. Not sure if it was a house / building or something elsewhere that caused a surge, I was fiddling with switches in the night. The electrician came and fiddled with switches too, and said yeah, there all up.....oh, hang on, what's this one....and they all worked again. We have LOTS of boxes. That box was sort of hidden.PasturesNew wrote: »On phone, BT calling me. In response to Gavin email.

If its Emma she's ace.
Hope everything is ok at Casa InRates.
Was out at the front of the house attacking a bush (something like a blackcurrant, but not quite - there are a couple in the back garden too) and saw Mr. LovelyNeighbour. We definitely had thunder here last night, and impressive lightning. I slept through it all
It did wake me up when I posted this morning (around 9:30).
I'm good at sleeping, but I can't believe it didn't even wake me.
Mr. Builder hasn't turned up. I expect he's forgotten as it was unexpected. Hope he doesn't turn up now as I've changed back into shorts and a vest top and have lit my portable BBQ0
