I also gave you a direct telephone number. I can't believe you didn't phone! She may well have left bt since I had dealings with her. I know that I would have! It's a horrible job she had. She may be on holiday, or sick. I'd have phoned. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

The Guardian says that the Cossacks did it! And they have telephone transcripts to back that up.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

I don't recall the phone number... but I'm on a PAYG mobile phone....and calls typically take 30 minutes before you get cut off with big firms
My other phone doesn't work... my smartphone with included minutes. Can't get a signal. It's a Tesco one.... Nikkster thought that was O2, so I went into the shop and they told me it's not ... so I have to go to Tesco and remember ... I went to Tesco and remembered, got in the shop and forgot to ask them....

AFAIK though it's pretty rudimentary and designed to combat short range man portable infra red missiles.
It works by detecting the launch, tracking the missile, and dispersing flares as decoys for the infra red guidance sensor.
Some national aviation authorities have prohibited the carrying of live flare dispersal systems on civilian passenger aircraft due to the obvious fire hazard, hence why not all the fleet and routes carry them.
The second generation systems are laser based, and started being installed in the last year or so.
Neither system would work on the larger and more sophisticated radar guided missiles used in this case however.
Maybe airlines should carry the Harm Antimissile system? That would certainly put the fear of god in the hearts of any separatists with a missile system. Make them think twice about switching the thing on.
I should add that it targets the missile launchers, not the missiles! No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
Whoever pushed the button on the missile.... do you think they're sitting there thinking "ha ha....", or "ooooh shiiiit...... now we've done it!"0

It was a direct line to Sue Halpin. Either you'd have got her or her recorded message saying she had got a job in a better organisation. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

What they actually said on the guardian transcript was that they thought the target were spies! No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
On phone, BT calling me. In response to Gavin email.
He's had a quick look, not sure what went wrong, but offered the suggestion that "something didn't go through right with the order on our system" .... and somebody will be in touch, at latest Monday, to sort this out.0
