When you get them up outside we would like pics on the NPT please.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
Back in my student days there were a lot of posters that were cliches now.
Loads of people had this.
Escher prints were all the rage as well and yes loads of people had the one of the tennis player.
Stumbled across an interesting vid that should appeal to some; it has music but it's basically a rapid montage of images.
I was a very boring student. I'm not a reviser, but i liked essays and I like mind maps, so I'd summarise its lecture into a mind map, do my reading for it, mind map again in cluding that, and that's what I had on my walls. That WAS my revision really.. I had some pictures, but ......they were anatomy or physiology or other bits of diagram I really needed to get familiar with. Did it after lecture/ required reading. Put it above bed/ loo door/ desk/ walls, where ever. Easiest stuff, least prominent location. Hardest stuff, most unavoidable spot.

Just looked - don't think films are on there. (Stupid question - guessing the answer is no!) Do you have any way of recording? (e.g. one of my non-posh alert tvs has a usb port in the back of it)I enjoy choosing/ buying/ giving gifts a lot, lot more than I typically enjoy receiving them.
I'm not sure if it is schadenfreude, but I really like watching people open stuff I got them too.:oBack in my student days there were a lot of posters that were cliches now.

The tennis girl was wearing a home made dress that recently sold at auction for £15000. The pic was taken at birmingham university tennis courts IIRC.It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
I had Escher prints, OH had the tennis girl until I removed it.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Trouble here.
The mauve squeaker and Rapnoc had a falling out in the garden. Squeaker came in so I closed the windows. Rapnoc is out there.
' mau.
Mau.
Mau.'
And mauve squeaker and pink whistley are growling. Now I wonder what he said to them to make them SO cross. Do you think he dropped in a 'like, you know'?0 -
Don't remind me
Been feeling a bit mopey about that tonight. Meh. I'll get over it.
Anyhow, one TV is mine (£50), the other is borrowed from my brother. Neither is worthy of a posh alert, I can guarantee!
My tv still isn't working, but it don't think its to do with the remote because the up down buttons work to scroll through epg but not to change channel.
Although earlier I had e4 with the should track of four news. surreal.
I suspect will live with it like this till one day it doesn't actually change channel at all.0 -

Do the up/ downs work on the TV set? Have you tried the classic 'switch it of at the wall, then back on again'?0 -

I tried talking dog to lurched dog. She seemed to think it was wonderful that I was making an effort to speak her language. She then followed me round sniffing my bottom.
I guess the moral of the story is be careful what you say in another language if you don't understand it.
Though hopefully a falling out with Papa Ooh Mau Mau is a good thing. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
