This is the bit where, if one's in a couple, the man heads gleefully towards his shed... for his power tools and a spot of "looking manly for a few hours". Single, it's another darned nuisance to deal with and find a tradesman for.
Really does depend on the couple that!
My Dad doesn't do anything practical, he doesn't even change lightbulbs or batteries, or fuses. Anything useful that needs doing (shelves putting up, etc) was always my darling Mama's territory. I never got the jokes about women being crap at DIY when I was a child, as the person with a drill and toolbox was my mother.DD's graduation was in September too.
His degree was in Economics. Now, he informs us, his priorities are job, flat, car in that order. Good to be optimistic!
Sounds like a good set of priorities, to me. Go DS!...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

But the falafel stand at Canary wharf is awesome! Best falafel I've hadEverything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Yes, himself. Made the cake inside as well.I get the feeling that michaels understands perfectly well, he's just trying to break the habit!
Yes. Thesmiley was meant to indicate that I was being tongue in cheek patronising rather than just patronising.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

At the wine bar at the RAH last weekend I had falafel vegetarian scotch egg. It was very weird. I don't think I'll be going for it again. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? The old what used to be normal weather is now something the govt needs to protect us from (along with all LIRs signs). This got me to thinking, within our life times computers will be cleverer than people, will we all let computers make our decisions for us then as they will be better at it than us and we are becoming more and more used to acting as children doing what the govt advises us is best?
When the news first broke, they were talking about record breaking temperatures in the low 100s (F of course). Then when I saw the weather forecast it was more like 29 degrees (which I think is about 84), which does kind of smack of overreaction. Though my car did say that it was 29 out already when I was driving home from Sainsbury this evening. It's normally pretty accurate. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? I've never tried it, but I think I would try the hotdogs from the stand next door first just so I could wind PN up about eating a hotdog that cost £8 or whatever they are.0 -
