Where is the plait? Your hair looks super shiny and super straight.

I like the highlights by the way. (Correct use of "like")

I always thought you were darker, in hair and skin colour. You look quite Swedish in that picture.

Plait was sliding out at bottom.....dodgy straight hair doesn't stay where you put it! Curly hair stays in plaits for a while with no ties.

My hair colour changes. I'm usually shades of mouse, as I am today. Sometimes lighter, sometimes darker. I had pink or red hair for a number of years, but there was often mouse in there too. When I was little I went from very pale to the colour of michaels kids. I once had a part in an all black production of sound of music. :o. I am part Swedish. But I'm parts of lots of things!

That really doesn't look at all like you IMO. Your hair is the wrong colour and too straight!

Fair to say I feel safe posting it. ;) still won't be saying.

Could a short term solution be a sign saying "no right of way"?

    Or

    "Beware of the dog?"

    Or "Scorpion Farm
    Visitors by appointment only" or
    "Wasp Sanctuary:
Visitors must collect protective Clothing at main house"

Apropos to what Nikkster suggested , near where I used to work, there were lots of American expats and American style letterboxes were very common. Two of our less regular posters will guess where I mean. Might be a possible answer.

Question for NP in contact with children and young adults.

Does every sentence have to contain the word "like"? Now I have mentioned it you may notice it more. It was pointed out to me and then I overheard some young adults talking and they couldn't get a sentence out without it.

I think this is how everyone under the age of 30 talks these days. Some of our graduate trainees even seem to have that stupid put on South London gangsta made up accent which fits so well with their middle class Home Counties upbringing. Combining that with excessive use of "like" is my absolute favourite (right up there with the chap eating a smelly falafel thing next to me on the tube about half an hour ago).

It is activities week at DS's school. Today he has decorated a cake. It has a USS Enterprise on the top, while round the side is a row of Tardises, Darleks, weeping angels and K9s. I think it's not bad considering that his double jointed fingers make fine motor control difficult for him.

Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

No, I don't feel threatened by it; it doesn't feel sinister (would have done if the shed fasteners weren't still in their specific position)..... and it'll be sorted. I think, for now, I'll put bolts on as best I can ..... until a proper solution's in place, just to stop the immediate idle passers by.

Monday the postie came at 11.30, today he arrived at 3pm, so his times are very random.

A sign would be a pain to make/stick up ... and would look common/tatty :)

Also because you don't live alone and you know others in the area and you've had a long time now to become relaxed :)

We seem to have two postmen now - one Royal Mail one who comes about 11 and another one from TNT who comes about 11.05! They both just bring junk addressed to the people who used to live here.
