I think your opinion of the capabilities of the average man is rather exaggerated.

No I think she was spot on.

Head for shed, get power tools, plug in, play with power tools for a while and make lots of noise, phaff about for a couple of hours, put all tools down, and come indoors and make up some reason why you can't do the job at today, but you will at some time in the future.

Public Health England has issued a heatwave warning for the next few days.

If any of the NPs are concerned, further info available online, suggestions such as not going out in midday Sun, keeping curtains closed etc. It looks as though it will be overnight as well.

Perhaps if anyone is worried we can do a virtual check in on here and make sure everyone is ok.
Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

I'll be all right. House has east facing main garden and south facing side garden - and plenty of different windows that can be opened for breezes. It has been stifling here the last few days, but if it got worse then I can open more windows and even go lie in the bath :)

I've 3 openers on the West, 2 openers on the South and 2 openers + patio doors on the East. Also 5 openers upstairs.

There's also an almost never-ending sea breeze blowing through the garden... which is a bit annoying to be honest.

Question for NP in contact with children and young adults.

Does every sentence have to contain the word "like"? Now I have mentioned it you may notice it more. It was pointed out to me and then I overheard some young adults talking and they couldn't get a sentence out without it.

DD2 is the worst offender: 'Like it is sunny today...'. I always respond by saying 'no I don't like....' and she rephrases. They also get fined for saying the 'y' word.

BTL is off the market, offers received were around my valuation rather than agents. Feeling guilty for disturbing tenants. Back to plan A to do battle with the planners. Let's hope we don't see a hose price crash in the next 6 months.

What's the y word michaels? I am too old to know automatically.

    I've been Money Tipped!
It's disturbingly easy to pick up the 'like ' to. Even down to the odd pronunciation' loike'.

Hairdresser cut some inches off my hair and some long layers in to help me take care of it now I'm too tired to. If I cannot cope with this he'll lob a bit more off. We don't know how long this will actually be because he cut it dry then straightened and trimmed. It might bounce up to a bob or a 'fro when its curly again.

Surprised that dysons appear to be getting bad press here. Have been told they're the ultimate vacuum?

We have had Dysons since they came out...no problems at all..just finding it heavy and willing to buy another lighter hoover to increase the lilkiehood of me hoovering upstairs.

Not at all, I bet you used the Y word when you were younger and your parents rolled their eyes...along with wanna and the silent (dropped) H.
