Nikkster works too hard for fun.
    Dangerous precedent set Nikkster.

You might get leant on by others :). I keep saying you should see if there is any thing you want from are garden......should have said you need and weed/ mulch beds for it!

The thing is I had plenty of fun. I got to spend time with a friend and spent the weekend chatting and laughing. That we also achieved a lot was a bonus.

I'm sure I'd have enjoyed spending the weekend looking around places and eating ice creams/ having an ale with a salty sea dog but I can do that pretty much any time I like (well, might have to put a bit more effort into finding a salty sea dog!).

I wouldn't have been able to spend so much time in my jogging bottoms if we'd have gone out more anyway :)

Sounds to me as if she has given you about a week off :) Time to get out the folding garden chair and do a survey on the best spots to chill at different times of day :)

Niks - ours looks like we have only just moved in, would you like to visit for a weekend?!

I think we've already established where the best spots for the folding chair are :)

michaels - thanks for the kind invitation. Unfortunately I think I'm busy washing my hair/ cleaning the car/ sitting on my sofa that weekend. You have plenty of little hands to help you with that. Plus my house still looks like I've only just moved in!

Edit: and if PN has a chilled out week settling in then that makes me feel very happy indeed.

OMG, pn, that's momentous! I want a hug!

In fairness I didn't give PN much of a choice. Good job I was heading off at that point otherwise I'd probably have been asked to leave! :)

    What's a salty sea dog?

    Sounds good fun indeed. :)

Comfort is definitely way to go when working. I have crazy outfits. Horrific jersey shorts with vests. Current favourite is short floral skirt not at all flattering, but very comfortable.

Wire on my bra went today. I might have to make a dash to an underwear shop this week. Its been ages since I bought a gossard bra, does any one know how they size compared to say, marks? I'd like to buy on line , but guessing gossard will size smaller than my most comfortable bra ATM which is a marks and spencer one.

    roast aubergine

    All sounds delicious Gen.

I've been for a walk around the garden. I have two baby aubergines :j I also have my first proper courgettes :j :j

It must have absolutely chucked it down around here in the past couple of days - the water butt is full to the brim.

PN was kind enough to arrange fabulous weather for Southern England the past couple of days :)

    Glad the girls had fun.

Is aubergine akin to marmite and mushrooms? I dislike aubergine.

I took marmite with me this weekend :rotfl:

I love marmite and mushrooms and aubergine.

I guess mushrooms and aubergine have similar textures? And earthy tastes.

Hate mushrooms, indifferent to Marmite, love Aubergine - ratatouille is good, drizzled with oil and roasted/bbq'd is even better - got to be cooked just right though or it can be horrid....
    I think....

Should have got Nikkster round to help cut back our overgrown wisterias by the sounds of it. Instead, unfortunately, OH's parents are here and decided to proactively do some pruning without asking whether we wanted it done or not. Her dad cut every piece of greenery off the wisteria on the front of our house up to about six feet off the ground. He couldn't reach anything above that so left it untouched. It looks like someone has deliberately tried to make it look as ridiculous as possible! They are being a bit annoying - almost as if they're doing it on purpose. They have gone away this weekend after a row with OH but are coming back for another three weeks. :|
