Almost as hilarious as someone losing sleep because of a case of terrible wedding photos? HA, HA, HA. :rotfl:
Did you ever get the compo for your boiler then?!0 -

So you were upset intially - then learned to live with a problem? ('got over it')
Maybe that is what has happened to the OP, which would explain why they haven't been back to this thread
She is probably reading this and laughing her socks off :rotfl:
I find it hillarious that the people who keep protesting that this is an insignificant problem, are the ones who seemingly can't seem to stop discussing it. HmmmmThe opposite of what you know...is also true0 -
Well we have wedding pics up too. About 5 around the house.
A couple of me and my husband, one with both sets of parents, one with the whole wedding group, and one with us and our closest relatives.
OP, I don't know if you are still here, but I hope you find peace. I hope that you can get your pictures redone because as a few people have said, they will be seen forevermore.
And I must say that even though some think there are much worse things to worry about, it is still something that the OP is upset about, so for that reason alone, she deserves empathy, not disdain.
Only my opinion of course.0 -

And the OP is probably looking at her wedding photos, painting her nails and wondering why oh why could she not have done the same for her big day?! Oh the trauma is just too much to bear. I think I might lose sleep tonight over the OP's terrible wedding photos.
That's it, you keep making your one point over and over again. It might start making sense one of these times..:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:The opposite of what you know...is also true0 -

I recently went to a lovely wedding with a group of friends - we all had a great day. Then I caught up with the bride a few weeks later and she began reeling off all the disasters. We had honestly not noticed anything.
At around Easter I was just coming home after a 3.5 hour drive with all my 6 children in the van. It was about 11.30pm, windy and raining very hard. I pulled into my drive, got out and heard a terrible banging noise. An old vintage Rolls Royce had broken down at the end of my drive with bride and groom on the way to a posh hotel about 2 miles away. The driver was calling the AA. What to do? I couldn't ring a friend to stay with the children at that time of night but the AA might take ages. So it was a bit (a lot) of a squash but we squeezed them into the van together with luggage and I took them on their way.
I wonder if they look back and think it was a disaster or laugh about it.

I'm definitely not in the 'get over it camp'. I think while it's not the worst thing to happen ever and not something to dwell on and lose sleep over, it obviously upsets the OP.
However. A lot of what went wrong is the OP's own doing. Weight? Could have lost some before the wedding. Nails? Should have painted them the night before. Photographer? That's something not worth compromising on. Should have hired a professional.
Probably deep down she's feeling quite angry at herself. She says a lot of planning went into the Wedding....it can't have done. Yes things can and do go wrong at Weddings, but the above things are things that could have been avoided.0
