You know, Person One, for a person almost due to qualify as a Nurse - you really seem to lack empathy in many of your posts

She's got a point though. Most people don't look at their Wedding (Wedding album) photos on a regular basis.

We do look at ours quite a bit, we love looking at them. Maybe we are unusual / this may wear off when we have been married for years lol, as we are still pretty much newlyweds. I think my parents wedding pics haven't seen light of day for years

Also have a couple of our favourites on display in antique frames

To be honest, I would have been quite upset myself, If we didn't even have one decent photo to show for the day, to put in our house of a reminder of our most wonderful day

Sorry to say I agree, would never image that poster in a caring professing such as nursing. Not a knock, but in my experience with nurses they are often very caring and thoughtful of people's feelings and don't poo poo how people are feeling, certainly not a job lots are suited too (myself included!)

Supersaver2 - Oh I take my hat off to anyone in the caring profession, I can't stand the sight of blood - and ref the other poster (P1), it wasn't a general knock as such, more of a one off note, I have seen the poster in question offer some good advices and interesting debates. We can't always agree

Person One probably sees people everyday that have to deal with things a lot worse than the OP ... People need to get some perspective.

OH no doubt. Wouldn't it be :rotfl:hillarious if someone was admitted to hospital for a bad case of terrible wedding photos?

You do realise that this is an anonymous forum and you don't actually know anything about me? Certainly not how I perform in my job!

I didn't realise nurses were expected to be saints round the clock, I don't wear my uniform to post on here and I'm allowed an opinion beyond 'there there dear', thank you very much!

Not a knock? Have to laugh, telling me I'm not suited to the profession I've worked towards for years and am absolutely passionate about isn't a knock? I'd hate to see what you'd write if you really did want to 'knock' me! :rotfl:

I see things in my job a lot worsethan the op's problem, I'm a DSP for child protection in a large secondary school. Plenty I deal with makes most problems on here seem trivial, I can still be sympathetic though.

Yeah it would be hilarious, wouldn't it? :D

Almost as hilarious as someone losing sleep because of a case of terrible wedding photos? HA, HA, HA. :rotfl:

I think we will have to agree do disagree. Yes, no one died - but would I have been upset if I didn't get one decent wedding photo to display - yes I would have been. I don't think I would have them re-done, as the moment would be lost, but I would be downhearted about it definately

To be fair to the OP, I think it is the 13 pages of posters that have blown it out of proportion as the OP has long gone and everyone else discussing it in her absense

Any thread with a subject of weddings seems to attract a somewhat hysterical response

It genuinely wasn't a knock, you read posts and build an image of what they could be like in real life and what career they might have (at least I do) and from reading your posts I wouldn't imagine you being a student nurse.

Of course its anonymous, but surely you get an idea of a person's personality from their writing style and opinions.
