Pointless post. Most of the threads on this entire forum are first world problems, since most of us live in the first world.Remember Occam's Razor - the simplest explanation is usually the right one.

I wondered when some wag would trot out the Marriage Relationships and Families Board equivalent of Godwin's Law. There should be a name for it.
In case you hadn't noticed, we actually live in the first world. That is why first world problems matter.0 -

I can kind of see your point here, but just because it isn't a problem to you, doesn't make it any less of an issue for someone else. It's humanity.
The only point you are making is that you want to attempt to feel superior to the OP, and are somewhat of an attention seeker

Isn't the definition of a 'first world problem' that it doesn't in fact matter, but because we lead such a privileged life we start to believe it does?
I don't think its particularly helpful to the OP to tell her that its perfectly reasonable and understandable for her to wallow in these incredibly shallow waters. geerex might not have worded it very diplomatically, but the point is valid.0 -

The point would only be valid if this was a third world forum. It isn't.0 -

It's not about superiority at all, and you could level a comparable criticism at the OP (something along the lines of "oo, look at me, my husband is wonderful and I married him so ner"), although that wouldn't be her intention.
By your logic, my flippant mojito remark should attract the same level of sympathy/empathy even although it's clearly just first world bullshot.
Point is, OP really needs to gain some perspective. Apologies for the bluntness, but sometimes logic just disappears and people fixate on little details that really don't matter.0 -
Mojito remark?
OK, edjumacate me.0
