Where are all the fabulous ladies?? I hope you are all out leading exciting and fabulous lives!
Today was a bit of a wakeup call for me. I was out with a good friend and while chatting she tactfully mentioned a few things about me that she thought needed a bit of polish. Harsh you may think but I am blessed with friends who are honest and tell me what I need to hear not just what I want to hear. I thought it was brave of her and has given me food for thought.
Life here is very exciting at the moment and full of potential. I have decided to grasp every opportunity and to stop thinking "what if" and to start making my dreams reality. Oh ladies I am all fired up and ready for adventure
That sounds intriguing rummer and good to hear you sounding upbeat. Sounds as if 'straightalking' from your friend did the trick. Do share on the dreams.;)
I've done Fab Friday in an LL mode. I wan't doing anything much other than food shopping and some sewing so it was just smart casual. Shades of plum here. Jeans, a deep purple top and I dug out a boyfriend style plum cardi. It's chenille so really tactile and cuddly. Worn with a toning scarf and ballet pumps. Still no coat as the temperature here today was 19.5!!:)
Feeling good as I lost 3lbs this week so, through healthy eating, gradually getting rid of the extra pounds gained on my holiday and family birthdays in September.0 -
I am all fired up and ready for adventure

Go you Rummer I look forward to hearing about your plans!
Despite losing three pounds this week and being all buffed up with eyebrow waxing and full mani and pedi yesterday - I am still feeling far from fired up and ready for adventure.
The pedi was the worst I ever had in my life, the girl cut my toenails right down the sides of my big toes to the quick - I have never felt pain like it and she just gave me withering looks as I was wincing and yelping in pain. They still hurt.
It's the weekend and it's piddling down with rain again, I have tons of fabbing I would like to do in the garden and by the looks of it no chance of getting out there anytime soon.Mortgage

Morning :hello:
I started a new job on tuesday. Period arrived on wednesday, I've had a headache and a knot in my stomach all week and I've hardly slept. My appetite is there, but every time I start eating something I can't stomach it so I have a few mouthfuls and leave the rest.

My fabbing has consisted of quick showers with a bit of moisturiser afterwards and hairwashes with a spray of leave-in conditioner. I need to get the razor out today, along with the foot file and cream. I also want to leave some decent conditioner in my hair for a good hour after washing it. Not sure I have the energy for all that :rotfl:Bulletproof0 -
Sorry not posted for agess. Have not felt well since loss of my mother in July. One cold after another and continually tired. It's a good job I've retired from work! My sister, who lives at opposite end of country, has been exactly the same strangely. However have had Shellac nails done three times on groupon deals and also a neck and back massage to help stiff muscles, so continuing with the fabbing. It does help I think.0

Rummer that sounds very exciting:)
Tru that isn't fair is it, just what you don't need in your first week in a new job
I suppose at least it can only get better?
verynewmoneysaver I'm so sorry for your loss, and I'm glad fabbing is helping a little bit, I hope you're managing to be kind to yourself.
I'm doing my best to fab; moisturiser has become a routine now and I'm getting my eyebrows done fairly often because I do think I look better, and I'm trying hard to wear my nice clothes instead of saving them for 'best'. Have had fresher's flu for the last month but it's definitely easing off at last

Morning :hello:
verynewmoneysaver So sorry for your loss xx
rosyq Thanks, I hope it gets better otherwise I'm going to end up in a pathetic heap on the floor
Yesterday I pampered my feet, trimmed my fringe and conditioned my hair properly. I shaved my legs too but that doesn't really count because I only did up to my knees
I took a sleeping tablet last night but it was useless. I took it at 9pm but still managed to wake up a few times then was wide awake before 6am. Feel worn out now though, maybe I should take it 12 hours in advance instead of an hour before bed? :rotfl:Bulletproof0 -
Hi Fabbers:)
I've been lurking for a while on this thread as well as others on the forum and finally decided to sign up for an account so I can join in all the fun!
I'm in my thirties and lately have been feeling in need of a little fabbing and have drawn up a list of things I plan on doing regularly in order to kickstart my little makeover.
Here they are:
*Bought a Sainsonic Ultrasonic Photon light facial device and plan on using it around 2-3 times a week effectively giving myself an at home face lift (well that's the plan anyway, remains to be seen whether it lives up to it's claims, though the few times I've used it I think I have seen a difference, my face looks fresher and tighter somehow afterwards)
*Found the Ministry of Sound Dance Workout on Youtube and intend to do it twice a week, it's over an hour long so I should get a good work out and hopefully tone up a bit and shift the stone in weight I want to lose
*Taking a Royal Jelly 1000mg tablet once a day to help with fertility (I'm currently trying to conceive), skin, and overall general health
*Taking Sanatogen Multivitamin A-Z complete once a day
*Plan on getting my eyebrows threaded regularly as it relaly helps to open up my face
*Plan on buying an at home professional waxing kit and do my leg and bikini waxing myself to save money
*Buy a decent semi permanent black hair colour and dye my hair to cover up the light greys that are starting to make an appearance
*Try and make the effort to curl my lashes and put a bit of mascara and lippy and wear a nice fragrance that I like every day instead of just slobbing around with no make up on
*Buy some bits like toe seperators, cuticle sticks etc and do a weekly manicure and pedicure on myself
*Looking into to possibly having Botox injections but may try some less drastic (and cheaper) solutions first. Seen this wrinkle freeze serum on Amazon and it seems it's pretty cheap so am going to order it and see if it does anything.
*Bought some slimming patches and am using one every day to help with the weightloss goals, might look into buying some (safe) natural diet pills like Raspberry Ketones as have heard good things about them
*Am trying to eat healthier (and less) upping my intake of fruit and veggies and salad, trying to drink more water and am going to cut down on the sweets
Whew, I'm sure there are a few more but can't think of them right now. Sorry for the longwinded post but if you've stuck with my ramblings til the end then your patience is verymuch appreciated;)0 -
Hi everyone,
I have kept up with the skincare and looking after myself in every department other than food. I have piled weight on recently - to the extent that most of my clothes don't fit. the irony being that it's because I've been trying to change my diet. Dairy free is not for me, it's lead to me eating so much more sugar it's ridiculous, so I'm going back to my cow milk in tea and not worrying if I have some butter on the rare occasions I have bread.
Hope everyone else is OK today and the slightly grey weather isn't getting anyone down.0 -
Alec - how annoying! Have you tried almond milk? It tastes of nothing, but has less sugar in than standard milk (I think).
I try not to eat too much sugar/wheat as I know that upsets me - if I cut out dairy I'm not sure what I would eat

DH has almond milk all the time, I don't mind it for with cereal occasionally but it's useless for in tea. I've just noticed we've moved towards more processed stuff and that goes against the whole point of eating more healthily. I know what goes on with dairy production and all that stuff before a helpful vegan jumps in, I just can't/won't make the leap.
It's making me fatter, less healthy and far more stress, so apologies to animals everywhere, but it's just not for me!0
