What LL you mean Bingo isn't THE place to be seen :rotfl:

Just done a very quick facial scrub followed by facial massage. Skin feels luuuuuurvely :D

My adventures in no shampoo/low poo have stopped. My skin on my face has been terrible, not so much pimples but very bumpy and not in places I normally suffer. I am wondering if the sebum on my hair has been the difference. So I am back using normal shampoo to see if it clears up. If it doesn't then it's hormones but if it does am afraid I will stick to regular shampoo. I spent most of my life with !!!! skin and I can't hack it :o:o

Where I live dodged all the awful rain until school run when heavens opened. Not sure "drowned rat" is a good look for me :rotfl:

Got up at 6am this morning (thanks to being cramped in a single bed with my DD) so I took advantage of the quiet and did some yoga. Not quite as good as a class but I did feel better for it.

Hugs and high fives all round.

Biysy, have you tried the new paraben-free Timotei shampoos & conditioners? Bonus is they are one of the cheapest!

Good morning ladies.

Fab Friday today......

Having said that I look like a tramp wearing my oldest joggers and a tatty old fleece. I'm going to be house fabbing and hopefully sanding down a chest of drawers for a repaint so not going to wear my best ball gown am I:rotfl:

BITSY - I'm watching your trials with "healthy" shampoos with interest. I'm having the same problems. I tried the greeeople shampoo and my hair just ended up a sticky mess so I too have gone back to normal shampoo. My scalp is very itchy and my hair is impossible some days.

I did Google on how to make you own shampoo using natural or home made soaps. I really must have a go because it looks quite simple. Just something else to add to the list.....

Nice and sunny here but not overly warm yet, hoping to get out in the garden later for a bit of an autumn tidy up.

Have a good day..

I stopped using bicarb and apple cider vinegar and switched the Naked range of paraben, SLS free, no silicone shampoos and conditioners BUT it still ended up with excess sebum problem. Living in a very hard water area meant other methods for cleaning weren't coping with the limescale and I had waxy hair. As much as. I would like to reduce exposure to chemicals I didn't want to start faffing around using rye flour and all other manner of washes for my hair. I am conceding defeat in this area.

Just had lovely brunch al fresco, loving the chilly mornings and gentle sun :) downside is it's showing up kiddie finger prints all over my windows so off to fab the house. Have a great Friday everyone.

Hello ladies, I have been reading but too tired/busy to post. Things here are difficult at the moment and although I am looking fab through clothing, makeup and sticking to my skincare regime I am not feeling fab on the inside.

My meals have been healthy but my snacking has not and I have not been fitting in [STRIKE]any[/STRIKE] much exercise. I am going to use the coming week to try and get back on track.

Really quick post: DH and I went to see 'Pride' this evening. It was absolutely fab!!
• Pride is on my list too... I'm going to see billy Connolly soon live I can't wait. OH got me tickets for anniversary :)

I managed fab Friday but more because I was coming home to my family's too see mum & gran rather than anything else. Last time I seem my gran on initially seeing me she told me my hair looked like rats tails!! Now granted this was true as I needed a hair cut but I was hoping for a hi first lol!! Leggings, nice top and cardigan all shades of muted greys but cream & white & black on top and white & pale pink/lilac scarf... Felt nice.

Kiwi & rummer... I know how you feel on the eating/ exercise front some times it all feels like it slips away in a flash!! I have book an exercise class for 4 days next week and I have booked my gym induction. If I don't start going soon I'll use the dark nights and horrible weather as excuse till April not to go!!!

Trying to eat better and be more conscious of my choices...man it's hard!!

Home to spend time with family weekend, gran not great health wise and horrible watching the slow decline ...

LL I do hope your mum is okay and not de stressed at all when she doesn't remember. I have no idea how you are feeling and cannot believe two months has passed since your lovely OH passed away. Much hugs()()

Glad the house is coming along... Much more cosy

Morning :hello:

I've had a horrible week, my leg has been annoying and I've been in a miserable mood.

I saw the osteopath yesterday, I said that progress has not only stopped but gone backwards. She had me stretching in all directions to see what was going on, I'd strengthened the muscles with all the walking I did on holiday but have managed to pull one of the muscles the wrong way a bit, through not being exactly straight when I walked. So fixable :D She led me down on my side and put my arm one way and my leg the other. I'm not entirely what position I was in, lol. She stood firm against the edge of the bed and pulled everything at once, my back and neck immediately loosened up. I must've been tensing up from my thigh to neck. I slept for three hours when I got home, I was so tired. I'm very stiff and sore this morning so will be taking it very easy today.

So no fabbing today, just a shower, baggy clothes and lots of gentle stretches.

• Good Morning Everyone,

I've not been on for a while as I've been busy, but have been reading every day. I had DGD to stay for four days whilst her parents were away so have been doing the school run and having busy mornings and evenings until bed time. I had to miss an aerobics class and a early morning run but fitted in my Pilates and Yoga and a 3 mile run.

I've been wearing jeans most of the week and am again today - teamed with a navy and white striped top with boat neckline and three quarter sleeves, and black ankle boots. I have work from 5 but am going shopping with DH earlier. We have a £5 voucher to use in Lidl and we are also going to look at cars as DH's is on its last legs. We are looking for one with very low or zero road tax which will mean less to find in the future. I have also promised to treat DH to lunch out as he seems to have missed out when I've been out with Mum the last few times.

Have a good weekend everyone.
