Good Evening
I have been super busy so sorry for my lack of posting. However I have been fabbing each and every dayIt has made a huge difference to how I have felt each day and the more effort I have made the more I have wanted to make an effort :j
What I do need to do now is tweak my meal planning as I have less time now and I don't want to slip into bad food habits. I need meals that take little or no prep which are healthy. Batch cooking is not an option as I really have no time at all now!Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
What about shoving loads of stuff in a slow cooker? That lasts us a few days and nice and yummy.
Me and my mum are going on a little spa break this weekend. I can't wait!No more goo hoarding!

Hi all,
Tried to make an effort for Friday fab... Black leggings and a grey/black/whit tunic top and grey cardigan with van style slip on black trainers and nice scarf . Also got hair cut and my highlight done today. Hair is a bit short for me at the back but it will be great in a wee fortnight or so, all the dead hair from holidays has been chopped out at least ...
Axe my appointment for hair for Christmas today too... It's not long ladies
Hope everyone is well0 -
Hello all - I don't have much to report.
I'm knackered at the moment, GP blood tests all came back clear, so it's obviously all in my head:o. So I'm going to make a point of having early nights - the trouble is that I come to bed and then can't sleep (which is why I'm on the computer at this time when I've been in bed 2.5 hours already...) and getting up in the morning is very hard work.
I've been trying to go swimming regularly - I had a free 5 day trial membership at the gym, which was great, then there was a groupon offer for 10 day passes for £24, which is cheaper than going to the local pool. I'm hoping to carry on with that. I went to pilates this week which was great, but feel really nauseous afterwards - very odd. And annoying as I like pilates!
However, I've decided to continue doing Project 333 for another 3 months, so October to December. I actually quite like the clothes I've picked out, so feeling very positive about that
Hope you all have a good weekend.0 -
Hi all,
((hugs )) to those of you with health issues.
Pru glad the scan went ok.
BB I also saw the Lisa Eldridge clip and it prompted me to do a massage -fully intended to do another but haven't got round to it yet.:o
Well am feeling decidedly unfab, fed up and in need of a good nights sleep.
The cat has taken to peeing on the bed so am having to wash quilts and bedding every day. Tried putting plastic over the bed but she just manages to get under it to do the deed. Have got a felway plug in but so far it isn't making a difference. The sooner DD1 gets somewhere the better as the cat isn't used to the noisy environment of our house. The council however seem to be in no hurry at all. My home now despite attempts to keep the smell down is smelling of cat pee. It's a constant battle to keep on top of it so that when she does leave i can clean it up without having to gut it. (which i can't afford). DD1 has found a job (4 month contract) etc is out about 10 hrs a day and most of the cleaning falls on me as cat seems to pee when she isn't here. I keep telling myself it's only a smell but it really is now getting me down.
My ou course starts today (though I made a start a few days ago). I'm struggling to feel motivated with everything but I will make time for it. I will hopefully be able to go to the tutorials this time as they are nearby.
Anyway time to put some more cat peed upon washing out.
enjoy your weekend.Frump to Fab - Solstice Sizzler

Oh Lizzie, how dreadful! We had an old cat who took to spraying and it was horrid and embarrassing as often he would spray when people came to visit. Nothing much to recommend other than maybe some catnip and a bed area for her to have as her own. Do you not have a way to keep her out of the bedrooms?
I have been on a tiny (and frugal) spending spree and now have a couple of dresses that I feel fabulous inI have been making an effort every day and it has had a real impact on my mood. Now i need to get the excess weight shifted.

PQ I hope you have a lovely time at the spa.
Lizzie when I had the cat pee problem it got me down too. The house always had a smell to it. It felt awful when friends dropped in unannounced as I felt I had to launch into an explanation every time. If the cat is stressed by the noise and bustle of the house, would it be possible to keep her one room only so she feels a bit more secure?
I am not feeling very fab just now as I have put on weight with the inactivity due to my back problem. I am also eating more because I am at home and not so busy. I took some positive steps in the last few days though. I have ebayed 5 Kipling bags and one purse and reduced my bags down to a navy handbag, a grey handbag and a sky blue handbag (for summer), one larger navy bag for days out and a very small sky blue bag. On my Easter holiday to Cyprus I realised a very small bag would be useful. It just holds a camera, cash (to buy some drinks), a little pouch of sun lotion, some tissues and a small folding shopping bag in case I buy anything. This feels a real step forward in being more organised. The best bit was that I have collected my bags over about 3/4 years and had good use of them. I sold them for £23 less in total than I paid for them, so I am feeling very MSE too0 -
SB sorry my last post cut off my reply for you some reason. It is really hard when the doctor's can't find what is wrong. I hope you get some answers soon. Lack of sleep is one of the worst things.0

Today I have been pottering about, painting, gardening etc and I have been wearing some of my OH's old clothes. I always did use to "borrow" his clothes for pottering about in. It used to amuse him, but I just find them so comfortable and now of course very comforting because they are part of him.
I have kept his sweaters and tops. I love men's sweaters in the winter, they always seem so much more cosy than women's knitwear. I've also kept his snuggle blankets and some tapestry cushions he made when he first became ill.
I've noticed that DS2s girlfriend also pinches his sweaters, although she's tiny and he's 6ft 3in so they bury her.... My sister and niece also pinch BIL's knitwear too.
Are we unusual or do you lot also wear your mans winter woollies? Time to "fess up":rotfl:
I have 4 teen/young adult daughters (3 still at home). They are forever 'borrowing' OH jumpers, hoodies, tshirts and even some shirts (wearing them as minidresses with leggings). Youngest DD even wore her dad's black wool jumper to school during exams. She said smelling her dad's cologne comforted her and helped her stay focused (awww!) I tried to intervene but OH says he doesn't mind.No buying unnecessary toiletries 2014. Epiphany on 4/4/14 - went into shop to buy 2 items, walked out with 17!0 -
OH can tell when I'm in need for comfort or stressed or a bit moppy as he usually finds me in something of his. It really is a comfort thing I think
if I foot visit my family or stay over somewhere he sleeps on my side of the bed.
