Thank you for the well wishes with the scan. It went very smoothly and quickly. I arrived a bit early and was taken straight away. I now have a few weeks wait for the results.
BB - I just love the dressAE I know what you mean about not wanting to wear your nice things to the shop. I teach youngsters with special needs and can get quite messy in the day. My colleagues who teach more moderate pupils come in nicely dressed, but I tend to dress down as I hate it when things get ruined.
I have done another step towards 333. I love Kipling bags and have some lovely ones thanks to the thread on the Grabbit board. When I started to think about 333, I realised blue and grey bags would be best for me. I have purchased some new blue ones(at great prices) and am going to put all my non co-ordinating Kipling bags and purses and ebay over the next few days. I have quite a tight budget, so I am hoping this will pay for the ones I have bought.

Prudent, if you feel OK about it could you pm me your ebay details? I really need a new (to me) Kipling bag, my black one still has masses of wear, but I really need a change as I use it 365/365, I just love the organisation they offer. I have a few really lovely leather handbags, but hardly use them as I can never find anything in them:(The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
Pru - glad the scan went ok. Hope all will be well.
Have been very busy. I just don't know where the time goes because I don't seem to be achieving much:rotfl: still have a to do,list as long as my arm. I actually feel a bit overwhelmed by the workload so I have decided that once the next lot of building work is finished I'm going to get some help with the cleaning - even if it's just a couple of one offs to help me get straight.
New boiler goes in tomorrow, still awaiting the cellar guy to come back and we need to get the second fix joinery done. Can't get the carpets down till then.
The healthy eating plan is going well. It takes a bit of organising but I think I'm getting into the swing now. My tummy feels so much better so it's well worth the extra effort.
Not sure what I will do tomorrow because I won't have any running wAter so will probably go out for most of the day, Something along the lines of a little light retail therapy, lunch and cinema sounds about right.
I'm loving some of the fab dresses and outfits. I like the grey/blue colour that's around at the moment. I have some shoes that colour and it is the colour of the outfit I bought for my husband's funeral. I will wear it again because I really like it and it doesn't hold especially sad memories.
Today I have been pottering about, painting, gardening etc and I have been wearing some of my OH's old clothes. I always did use to "borrow" his clothes for pottering about in. It used to amuse him, but I just find them so comfortable and now of course very comforting because they are part of him.
I have kept his sweaters and tops. I love men's sweaters in the winter, they always seem so much more cosy than women's knitwear. I've also kept his snuggle blankets and some tapestry cushions he made when he first became ill.
I've noticed that DS2s girlfriend also pinches his sweaters, although she's tiny and he's 6ft 3in so they bury her.... My sister and niece also pinch BIL's knitwear too.
Are we unusual or do you lot also wear your mans winter woollies? Time to "fess up":rotfl:
Btw - isn't the weather just fab. Hopefully it will make the winter seem shorter.0 -
Good morning everyone, looks like we will get some sun here this morning, so all good. Have knit and natter today, looking forward to that, we have a lot of fun.
Very tired atm, B12 jab due Tuesday and have had such a busy couple of weeks, but I am still managing to get quite a lot done in spite of:D
LL - OH will not let me borrow his sweaters:(, although slim, I "carry all before me" and he says that I leave large bumps in his jumpers:rotfl: I do love oversize woollies in the Winter though.
Pru - sorry meant to say yesterday, fingers crossed for scan results:)
I love to see the 50's style clothes, they suit my hour glass figure, but somehow, because of my age I do not really feel comfortable in them, except perhaps for a pretty summer dress, also I have spent a lifetime drawing attention away from by bust (keep in mind largely male orientated working places and Neanderthal type blokes in the late 60's, 70's and 80's :rotfl::rotfl::eek:)The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. I do wear my husband's jumpers. He encourages me to do it, and says I look cute in them!
I do not feel fab today, I have a bit of a dodgy neck and it is really hurting today, so I'll make an extra effort to look fab when I go to the charity shop this afternoon. Have a good day.0 -
Morning.
Not been in for ages!
Not loads to report.
I tore my cruciate ligament so yoga is on hold at the moment.
Now we are into Oct I'm hoping for some autumn weather.
Just recovering from the awful virus that's doing the rounds.
My Fire Cider has 2 more weeks till I can strain it then hopefully will protect agsinst any more lurgy .
Need to pack my summer clothes away and sort autumn winter wardrobe out.
I don't think I need anything new tbh.
I have 4 pairs of boots and lots of my beloved 50s shirts and scarves that I wear with jeans or shorts and 50s dresses for dressier days.
Nice to see the 50s dresses on here that people have bought.
Lindy Bop is one of my fave shops and I have that dress Bitsy.
Btw those of you buying the dresses do realise it won't look like that unless you buy the petticoat for under it don't you?0 -
Good morning lovely ladies
I had the most fabulous day off yesterday whilst the new boiler was being fitted.
Met a friend for breakfast, then went to the Range and bought some nice kitchen accessories, then a cream tea at the garden centre where ds2 works, then the cinema to see "Pride" - absolutely fab film - then dinner at Nandos...... I'm shattered this morning so a gentle quiet day although I do intend visitng mum at some point.
Hope you are all well and enjoying this extra bit of summer.....
Winter is coming ::rotfl:n. But at least we've got a nice new boiler now. Still no insulation or carpets so need to get that sorted Asap.
Have a great day.0 -
My first session with PT today after 2 weeks holiday (1 mine the other his), I think that it will be very hard:eek:, particularly as I have had bad joint pain this week for some reason:(The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0

As promised I made an extra effort to look nice yesterday so I wore my "amazing" dress. Without fail I get at least one compliment whenever I wear it, and I did yesterday. Wish I had many of them in an array of colours, I'd never wear anything else!
Enjoy your session today maddiemay.0 -
Oh good luck maddie may that will certainly be felt tomorrow I'm sure ..
LL that sounds like a lovely day out... Perfectly level of eating v's shopping..
I think I will get my wardrobe sorted tonight some woo lie cardies to come out the drawer and nice long sleeved tops to get ironed. Let's hope they still fit me with my new spare tyre I have round my belly... Must be gym classes booked and stop messing about.
Hope everyone is well today..0
