Frump to Fab - Onwards and Upwards

Hello Lovely Ladies - time to start the next phase of our journey.

To any lurkers out there - please feel free to join in.

The more the merrier.

Let Fabulousity Rule. :rotfl:

For the newcomers our mantra is Gently Does It

Just start slowly - with lots of TLC and some daily fabbing.

I have loved reading your recent posts - so much positivity and so good to hear all your tales of progress made.

For those of us who may be a bit disappointed and who might have slipped a little - don't despair - let's just keep going.

We will get there - sometimes it just takes a little longer than we would like. Just accept that there will be the odd set back. In the grand scheme of things the odd slip up won't do any real damage.

For me this last couple of weeks have been very hectic and the fabbing has had to take a bit of a back seat. Last week in particular I fell off the wagon and resorted to eating far too much wheat simply because I was just so busy and had to resort to quick and easy snacks.

Today I did a proper shop and stocked up with lots of nice healthy fruit, veg and salad bits so I can get back into healthy eating mode.

So for me it Back to Basics this week to get back on track.

1. Healthy Eating
2. Daily exercise
3. Plenty of sleep and rest
4. Daily fabbing

I shall post up my next set of goals in a day or so.

Hope you all had a lovely weekend and soaked up all that wonderful sunshine.

Thanks for the new thread LL :D

Lovely weekend with my folks and the kids at the beach. I definitely have a tan. Even put my shorts on and thought stuff the varicose veins.....if people don't like then tough ;) hair has got significantly blonder thanks to lots of sun and sea water and is in desperate need of a trim so I will need to organise that this week.
Saltwater has ruined the old nail varnish so will treat myself to a little pedicure tomorrow as quite frankly I am just too tired tonight :o
I may not look a million bucks but the old soul has been replenished with a lovely trip to the seaside so that can't be bad :)

    Happy solstice everyone.

Am keeping up with the fabbing, thank to my new job & the need to look smart, which has impacted on my wardrobe in that I now apply the same thought process to my weekend outfits :) and wear makeup at weekends just because I want to. My nails are treated to shellac every 2 weeks, so they always look good, just need to be brave & use my new epilator to start to recoup its cost against leg waxing!

Lovely new thread:). Lots of time spent working hard in the garden, it has been very hot and I think that I have overdone it as I have no get up and go this morning. I am delighted that the PT sessions have made me much stronger and fitter, I even managed a little 3.3 mile bicycle ride (power assisted) after supper last evening, I need to try and buy one of those tennis eye shade thingies, as I was really struggling cycling into the sun (even with reactive lenses). Still not using body lotion as much as I should, but generally happy with my appearance, hair highlights are Magenta Magic, looks nice, but I think the bright pink ones made me feel happier iykwim.

Hi very long time no speak.

I finally feel ready to face the world again and all the it entails.

Currently we are having our house fabbed. i used to have a lovely house til we had a dog. MIL has lent us some money to have new flooring thoughout the house as we've been here 13 years and not replaced anything yet, so that is being done starting today. Wood for downstairs and carpets up.

My fabbing: Well I'm doing the normal tone cleanse mositurise everyday and mositurise my body every day. I go to the gym twice a week and use toning tables, they are great and I'm starting to see the difference and I've rejoined WW so getting on top of my eating habits.
Ive set myself a doable target of losing 8kg in 15 weeks. So fingers crossed I'll make it.

A big high 5 to all who remember me and a big hello to those that don't. Enjoy the sun xx

    Hi everyone,

Thanks for the new thread, nice to be in at the start.

Well, we went to the wedding at the weekend and I managed to squeeze into the small dress. It felt great. I've seen a couple of photographs of myself on the beach that I'm not all that impressed with but the main thing is at the time I didn't care, and neither did anyone else!

Other than drinking a bit too much I made fairly healthy food choices and we did a lot of walking so I feel like that's got me off to a good start with my new healthier life which starts today.
  • Only two more days and then I'm off for a week in the sunshine. I can't wait!

  • Hi everyone! Great new thread :-)

I'm in dire need of getting back to the fanning; was doing well with my gym routine until recently although can't seem to shift much weight :-( I'm looking into high protein diets at the moment as it looks like OH & I will be going through IVF soon, and apparently lots of protein is helpful.

Also this week we've had to turn the house upside down in preparation for a visit from the pest control chap, we have bedbugs, uuurrgghhh! The pest control chap thinks we might have picked them up at a hotel we stayed in recently. It's such a pain, the bedroom's had to be completely emptied and we have mountains of washing to get through.

Hopefully I will be back soon with an update on my fabbing plans!

Hugs to all that need them.

Thank you LL for starting us off on a new thread again. Tonight I have been getting my gel nails done which is a nice treat. Once every 3 weeks for me, fore is bright pink with pink glitter on topcoat. Beautiful sparkly nails for sunny days.

As for fabbing, well I have booked my cut and colour for middle if July. And I have my microdermabrasion 3 rd appointment booked. (3 out of 5 block). I had a lovely back neck and shoulders massage on Sunday which me friend & I bought a voucher ages ago, which was lovely :)

Cleanse & moisturise getting better as is body scrub & moisturise. Will change nail polish on toes for a cheer up again at the weekend I think too :)

Was at the gym last night for spin class y-day and have spin again tomorrow... Healthy eating has been much better too.

The sun really does make everything feel better :)

:j Yay for a new thread, thank you LL I hope the healthy eating is going well.

BB I am so impressed by your fitness regime :D, I have the Shred and it is TOUGH! In fact I started it again the other day and managed it once before collapsing in a sweaty heap on the floor :rotfl:

Floss Delighted to hear you are keeping up your fabbing :), I too need to grit my teeth and get epilating

Maddie Do you mind if I ask some questions about your PT? How many sessions do you have a month and do you feel it is worth it? I have considered it in the past but wasn't sure if it was worth the money :o

Hewie Delighted to see you back! House fabbing is so uplifting, we are doing some here and it is wonderful to improve your surroundings.

Alec Great news about the dress!

Piratey Hope you have a fabulous time :D

Ruby How exciting that you will be starting IVF soon! Fabbing will help you feel good inside and out. Sorry to hear about the bedbugs, nasty wee beasties!

Sweetcheeks Keep up the great work :j
