    Morning everyone!

    It's payday, wooooo!!! :j:money::beer:
Not that I have ay spending money, but I'm excited about my grocery shop and how well I stick to my meal plan :p

In that spirit, as I'm back working 9-5.30 today, I'm already showered, dressed, make upped, coffeed and hair done - yes it's 7.15! I'm going to Mr T and then A1d1 if the timing works out before work!

Mum is over for dinner tonight - usual on a Thursday, she will be here at half six. However I did quinoa and beans last night for our salad, and after my shop I will just need to finish making the dressing and chop up all the fresh bits, so shouldn't take more than 15 minutes.

Need to do S&S of the whole bathroom anyway before she arrives - if I can do it properly on list, I want bonus points!!

Must dash, 5 billion things to get done!!!

Have a great day all :D

    Morning all

Really suffering with CBA and lack of GUAG atm and it is showing in the lack of flying.

Quite a free day today, want to pop to town for JL clearance and to see an exhibition for a development in town.

No excuses then to the flying.

  • Hey Dusty - perhaps your cba and GUAG is with mine?

I don't know if I'm on my head or heels atm!!!! Holiday relaxation went out of the window as soon as I got back and no flying now for at least three weeks - except washing and some ironing - hangs head in shame.

Is the exhibition in council offices? as may pop in tomorrow depending on "stuff". Sent an email on 22nd. Coming down very early Friday!!!

Thanks Kaz. The only thing that worries me about cash on collection is that, apparently, even with a photograph of the buyer taking the goods Fleabay have found against sellers who have claimed they never received them, largely I imagine because they want their Paypal percentage. I suppose the sorts of people who'd do that, though, would do it anyway, wouldn't they, Paypal or not?

Woke up this morning to see the step ladder on the landing. Apparently the beeping battery woke OH up at 5.00am, so smoke alarm testing for all of them today, in addition to measuring and writing descriptions for the china. That's always the bit that takes the longest.
    Better is good enough.

    Morning all.

Another paid stuff day today, but first I NEED to get some jobs done. There's work stuff and clean washing piles all over the livingroom and its irritating me something rotten. So I'm going to do a 40min challenge (thats the length of 1 programme on my catch up ;)) and see how much stuff I can get done. No point just doing a HHC as I've got a sofa cover to put on and that'll take a good 10mins :rotfl:

Then I'm going to have another coffee now I have a new kettle, again, since the element blew in my one yesterday. Since it was only a £5 Mr A cheapie one,I bought a new one, so I 'upgraded' to a Mr A £10 stainless steel one :rotfl:

Right, sofa needs clearing of papers and then cover on

Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

    As a seasoned seller..

Stuff that ends on a Friday or Saturday night is best aimed at women.. they are pee'd off their partner is out on the lash and spend out of boredom. Sunday afternoon is a good time too because both sexes are browsing. stereotypical but true in my experience.

Anything ending before 10am is unlikely to have last minute bids.. people are at work during the week and hoping for a lie in or dealing with children on a weekend.. it is a good time to buy ;) Anything after 10pm has fewer bids.. people tend to go to bed about 9:30-10pm so stuff doesn't sell so well.. avoiding school runs and meal times and childrens bed times is a good one too.
2:30 is a good time during the week.. just before school run.. last minute running out the door purchasing leaves less room to change their mind.

I have currently 2 identical items listed... with different titles.. 1 has sold, had 20+ watchers and 90+ views.. the other has not sold, has 8 watchers and 40+ views.. they are absolutely identical in every way! Wording is very important.. you have to draw people in.

If you do cash on collection.. use a receipt book!! They are a couple of quid at the post office and very useful as evidence!!

Busy day again today.. nail appointment at 10:30am and vet at 4:20pm.. hopefully Crackenstein will have his stitches out and can go outside after that! He needs to poop in OH's flower beds because the tray stinks :p High school with Moomin at 6:30.. hopefully not for too long!!

Best go get myself sorted.. *lazy*

I finished the blue cardy last night and have picked up the scallop shawl again.. I got a full scallop knitted last night then realised I had done a row too many at the beginning to it was facing the other way to the rest lol.. I have 9 more full scallops to do.. so I aim to get that finished by the end of next week.. 3 full scallops a night, then the half scallops then the edging ... it will be finished!!

I need to get at least 1 washer on to make use of my free leccy :) and OH can feed the DW when he has fed himself.

    see's y'all later xx

  • Hi - sorry can't remember who said their niece and n-in-law were on Homes under The Hammer today - but have just watched it. What a lovely couple and a beatiful home - sure they'll be so happy especially when baby is born.

Haven't watched it for ages but was ironing - again!!

There is the syndrome known as "bidding while inebriated" that kicks in at any time of the evening ;)
