Oh. Put wash in now and then hang out to dry!

    Really pleased for you, Valli
Honey Bear it will only be a case of pinching the second post on a Sunday night, copying and pasting the list, and encouraging Team Fly! On their challenges. Thank you! X

So much to do and my head is in such a muddle :( I've had to resort to a diary cos I just can't remember things.
DD1 & BF are starting a week's worth of dog sitting from my best friend's brother today. DD1 is at work til 5 then has a driving lesson so BF is going over the start the sitting this afternoon. I have to drop DD1, her stuff and their food shopping over later. I'm wondering how they'll get on being together so long. I told them it'll be like married life and the dog will be their baby :rotfl:
    So far this morning -
coffee had, DD1 dropped to work, bins all emptied, pets fed, DW on, my bed stripped, remade and bedding in WM.
I need to walk into town to get my meds, some eggs & milk and I've just been asked by my mum to get some birthday cards but now it's starting to rain

    I'd be lost without mine.

Huge pile of stuff has been created and photographed and will now be leaving the house - yay! If I could be that decisive every day, this house would still take about six months to declutter but it's a start. I'm hoping the photographs will spur me on when things get more difficult. (I found OH poking through the pile muttering things like 'Not the frisbee!' 'Not all that dog food' - it's going back to the shop to be resold.) Part of the heap is part of my June Challenge, so that feels good too.

I finally made the decision to let a couple of things that are sentimentally important to me - go. And it feels okay.
    Better is good enough.

Me too! I have a pad that I got in a cheapy shop (forget which -see???) that is a weekly planner. It has a section for each day plus room for a list or two. I just tear off at the end of the week for the next. And scribble the dates on. It lives on my desk and I find seeing it every day help with the retention of what's on there...

Few bits of shopping purchased, including a colour for my hair (will do before hols) and some iron tabs. Washing is out on line and dinner is almost cooked, roasted veg and pulled pork (yes I'm still eating it from a couple of weeks ago :rotfl: (it was frozen, it's not really 2 weeks old :p)

Paid stuff ticking along, should have everything done by 4 so might have a breather and a cuppa before collecting the kiddies, unless I have a burst of energy in which case I'll steam mop the kitchen floor...

    Because...

I just went in to turn the oven down and a ruddy great pigeon was in my house!!! it thankfully flew the right way aka out the door but I'm not sure who was more startled of the two of us

I have spray wiped, but want to give it a proper fumigating...

    School meeting sorted.
Solar panels up and running.. in the cloudy outside!
Moomins appointment sorted.. she is having a lift pass to avoid stairs, a pass to leave lessons 5 minutes early to avoid bustle in the corridors and I am looking at a rucksack with wheels type bag so she doesn't have to carry it and hurt her back. Her boots have clearance and I made it clear she is to try everything.. no exception, unless it causes problems.
Need to get the stuff together for tonights meeting, DD1 coming to babysit for a couple of hours. Squeak got a party invite for te day of the baptism so sadly she won't be able to go :(

    Bossy, I'm still using a fi10fax!

In the end, I managed to get about one third of a cubic metre of gibble out of the house and re-homed at the pet shop in the market (good guy), one of the local animal rescue charities, and then ... to the dump, to the dump, to the dump dump dump to recycle everything else apart from the polystyrene which had to go to landfill.

Then to w!1kinson's, Valli's family emporium, to get a clutch of 100% cotton bedding pillowcases to compare and match with the curtains in the double bedroom, so I can replace the frankly old, worn out and very, very dated bedding to smarten it up a bit. I'll also need to buy an extra flat sheet to make a curtain to go over the glass panels in the door (it was the scullery, originally) and make some matching cushion covers. That should perk it up quite considerably, I would have thought.

Onwards and upwards - I've catalogued all the china I want to list, so all I have to do now is work out how many lots to list on the bay of e and photograph it. I'm going to put it on a 30 day listing I think, unless anyone can think of any reason not to. It's a well-known popular design.
    Better is good enough.
