I just emailed them for an update on my email sent in January 2014 and May 2014 (neither of which received a reply).

I'm based in Southern Ireland but I got accepted for the testing cycle as I arranged to get the product shipped to NI and then sent down to Dublin. Aaaanyway, I have not heard a peep from them since last year (2013).

And for the folks wondering why we paid for the product before it was ready to ship - this is not a new idea. Ever heard of Kickstarter? Faith in a good idea and trust in the company is what drove me to sign up and pay. Both are gone now which is a shame.

Given how spectacularly it failed on Dragons' Den (and that was years ago) I wouldn't trust this with my money even as a Kickstarter idea.

I wouldn't even buy one when it was first released either.

    UPDATE

Surrey Trading Standards sent me a stock reply after I got in touch via their website contact form and didn't really address my concerns. However, it was confirmed that they would keep the matter on file in case others complain about Eggxactly.

So, if you're one of "market testers", I suggest you contact Surrey Trading Standards yourself. I'm guessing that they'll only investigate fully after multiple complaints.

  • Have sent email Trading Standards as suggested!

    No reply from phone message.

    See what happens next.
  • I signed up for the trial as well. I have had a similar experience with communications - i.e. an apology after my first email, and no response to any follow up emails. I realise that it was a risk to hand over £30 but thought it was worth it, because I believe in the product and it would be fun to have one of the first ones. Who knows, they might get it together in the end.

I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.
  • Think time has come to do something, the lack of communication is concerning. Trading standards is a good start, I will be interested in what transpires on that front. I looked up business information for Eggxactly Ltd on various sites because only email communication is forthcoming on invoice, etc. I found a telephone number for Eggxactly!

    I have left a message!

what was the number - I'll give it a try too!

Last week I sent a Special Delivery letter requesting a refund (no-one was there to sign for it and they've not arranged redelivery).
Have now sent email advising them that they have two weeks to either provide the ordered goods or provide a refund of my money or they will be in breach of contract.

If I get no reply, it'll be a "Letter before Action" then a claim against them in the Small Claims Court...
Really sad it's come to this, sure they're lovely people but the lack of communication is inexcusable.

Same experience here. Been waiting 9 months since ordering and they don't reply to any attempts at communication.

Just a thought but would it be worth contacting Richard Farleigh and Peter Jones since they are the 'celebs' associated with the original investment in this farcical company.

Presumably they won't be keen on being associated with the bad press associated with complaints on Watchdog, Rogue Traders, Trading Standards, internet forums etc etc......

I doubt they would be interested, no investment was ever made so they have no tie to the product.
