    Hi Pippi

This recipe is wonderful for using up courgettes - I tend to use a blue cheese like Shropshire Blue rather than cheddar but either is yummy!

    http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/1577642/courgette-potato-and-cheddar-soup

I haven't tried freezing it as we never seem to have leftovers.

    Right back to lurkdom.......
  • Hey there again someone robbed me of me weekend.

There was walking and nosh that's all I can remember :)

Thank you M21 - sounds delish will give that a go too. Hows the not-so-little-one?

And Tigger thanks too, that does sound delish!!!!! Thank you for popping out of lurkdom.

No decisions made about money. And the trip to almost those big mountains we're researching to see how safe it is and what I can be doing whilst himself is off being briliant somewhere else.

    I did get paid.

This weekend has been a distraction of DS going on his first alone road trip to go boarding doon sooth. And DD flying home from halfway around the globe. If I'm honest I haven't slept much.

Dear dear I'm such a fretter. But happy to report one had a great time and enjoyed it immensely and the other is safe at home in the city in her new flat and comes to collect her mountain of boxes later.

I did want to pick her up but the lure of friends was too great after a summer away, so I guess, that's those self-confident cherubs for you. Its all good.

Off to do a bit of womble work before garden work and check banks etc.

Fly lady was neglected yesterday but I did the weekend missions.

Sat - family time with Mr Me and his Ma and aunty wik.
Sun - paint toenails as 'me time'

Monday I played hookey. Must catch up!!

RT and Cheery I has something to tell you but I forgot what. And Mr RT can be assured when I keep saying to myself its a lot of money for a flight, his wee voice pops up saying, carpe deum my dear. (Tell him thanks for that)

    Dear Friends:

Well it is day 2 in the Kitchen, are you ready?

Today we are going to de-clutter our leftover, food storage, plastic, Rubbermaid, Tupperware, and Glad-Ware containers! Do you have excess lids? More bowls than lids? Stained and/or Melted? Do we even need to talk about those old margarine, and ice cream containers?

It is time to let go of this clutter. I am not telling you that you can't keep any containers, I am telling you to get rid of the ones that have no lids, stained and the ones that keep getting shoved in the back because it just isn't a size that works for you.

A quick hint that is helpful, take a large zip top plastic bag to store the lids in, this keeps them together and keeps them from spilling all over the inside of your cabinet.

Spend 15 minutes doing this, don't get sidetracked and rip apart your cabinets and drawers. One thing at a time.

    Have fun!

I still mostly don't get it but what I do know is that the house is straighter and I'm no so panicky when I think about trying to tackle it all.

    So that's progress.

And, I'm ashamed to say I've gone and ordered a rubber mop (much cheaper than flylady and here in the UK. With free delivery. I didn't not learn nowt.) but we do have one at work for the areas where dogs are and what a difference they make to the rugs.

Yes I'm sad that I'm excited it will be here soon.

My tupperware is all in order too!

Did this a couple of weekends ago after inheriting a stack of tubs from bossman's wife! All the discoloured ones and orphans were sent packing!

Am trying to use glass jars as much as possible now as I read an article about the toxins that leach into food! Paranoid? Moi? Never!:D

Luckily OH has bought into my new interest & rescues D&E coffee jars from work! All the grains (several kinds of rice, couscous, cracked wheat, quinoa) are now in matching jars! Nuts & seeds & dried fruit are in smaller nut butter jars. Herbs and spices decanted out of plastic & into small jam jars!:) Small things & all!

I've heard from an Aunty back across the pond that she freezes bone broth in jars - fills them 2/3 full to allow for expansion - the only catch is that forward planning is required to defrost them!:o

PS - OH (who does not have anything wee about him) says he doesn't know any foreign languages - in plain English (and I quote) "buy the bl00dy ticket girl":rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Morning all waves hello, first some fly lady.

    Todays flight plan.

    Dear Friends:

Let's take a close look at the gadgets and small appliances that you use on a regular basis. When was the last time you cleaned out your toaster; opened up the bottom and dumped the crumbs? How dingy or dusty is your coffee maker? Do we even want to talk about the blades on the electric can openers? How about the outside of the microwave?

Wipe them down and make them shine. I am not telling you to drag out every small kitchen appliance you own and to scrub them. Just wipe down the fingerprints, dust, drips, dried food particles on the most used items. Make sure you unplug these items before you clean them.

Don't obsess, set your timer for 15 minutes and have fun!

I will also remind myself its ANTI_PROCRASTINATION DAY in flyladyland.

Get on with stuff crazy pippi just do it already. (like your invoice.)
