Hmmm - this flylady thing is not as hard as I imagined! (so far)

Toaster - crumbs emptied every weekend as we only use it once or twice a week!

Coffee Maker - don't have one - use a press which gets washed out after each use

Microwave:eek: - that's another story - must get OH to clean it out this evening when he's making himself 'useful' asking what he can do to help with dinner!

Pips - invoice - remember that the money WANTS to be in your bank account - you just need to help it on it's way!
    4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! (24 OCT 2016)
(With heartfelt thanks to those who have gone before us & their indubitable generosity.)
    ...and now I have a mortgage! (23 AUG 2021)
New projection - 14 YEARS 8 MONTHS LEFT OF 20 YEARS (reduced by 16 mths)
Psst...I may have started a diary!

DD has gone back to school, she 13 at the end of the month, where has the time gone xx

As I helped my 19 year old into her first proper flat yesterday I wondered exactly the same thing. Shoosh they grow up too quick.

I tried to take her shopping and she kept saying.....I can get that in Mr L for less, I can get that in Pound land for less.

We share so much in common.

And yes I did do the invoice and got a mail saying he's going to pay me this week thank you very much for reminding me.

PS Agree about the jars and its a great tip.
PPS once DH decides exactly WHEN he is going to the big-mountain-lands I MIGHT be about to book a flight. Its still very much up in the air but might be middle of next month. Every day that ticks by without any word I'm getting twitchier as the price goes up and I can't book. Bah.

The microwave will get done later the day whooshed away.

The missions are a small part of fly lady. Once you're decluttered you can do 'detailed cleaning'

Therefore I don't intend to do detailed cleaning any day soon. :rotfl::rotfl:

There's a fair bit to it but its really about establishing small changes and routines.

    So far I'm managing

    Up, make the bed.
A load of washing a day
A quick blast of decluttering for 15 mins in the 'zone' we are in
A quick blast of a hot spot for 2 mins (ie where all the carp is piled up neatly now)
Home made dinner, simples was doing that already.:T
A quick swish and swipe of the bathroom once a day (takes 30 secs) when I'm in there at some point.

    I'm doing easy flylady.

Last month was tackling laundry as a change of routine, and that really helped me, this months habit to change is bed time routine. I'm working on that.

Its a bit of a before bed tidy up of carp that's lingered over the day, figure out what you're wearing the next day (for me that's generally scruffies) and then a nice early to bed.

  • Straight from fly lady.

    Dear Friends:

We are still tackling the kitchen this week.

This involves old toothbrushes and elbow grease. Grab those toothbrushes and some general purpose cleaner and scrub those faucets on your kitchen sink. It is amazing how much gunk can build up around the seals and edges.

Have fun, this is a quick mission that shows instant results!

My sink is not too bad so this shouldn't take long, and I've still got the micro to swipe out. Unless MR RT will pop up.......:)

She also has a day for stuff to do like today is Thursday so it is also get the messages, errands, shopping day if you are a mind. This doesn't work for me so I don't do it today. I generally do my messages/chores when I'm out and about to save petrol. I picked up cheese yesterday.

    Me neither :rotfl::rotfl:

I am happy to do the kitchen though as DH started it last night while me and the kids were out so it's not too bad. I also need to find the second settee under the week's clutter  Tomorrow is an inset day so I need to get as much done as possible after DS goes to school this afternoon so that the 3 of us can have a nice day together tomorrow.

Please keep posting the flylady stuff. I'm hoping to play along every day I can x

    Goals for February
    Declutter 2/50
    Money Made £0/£200
    Overpayments £0/£200
  • I forgot about both the sink and the toaster. I must get on that.

    :)

I'm playing along when I can too Starnac - its the only way. My 'clutter paperwork' is now all in a giant pile in the kitchen on a dresser. I at least look at it every day and only put stuff there instead of everywhere.

Home, done an hours womble on a presentation about LFHW and now I'm starved.

Also done 6 hours garden work paid.

And been paid for last week £240

    Must move some money

Moved money nowt left - kids got some, car fund got some, insurance got some. I've kept a fiver for a treat.

Must go and pick up me new rubber brush later on today in town and have a walk with himself. Brush from vouchers. Might raid the reduced.

Milk out of freezer......dugs fed, three eggs collected.

    Living the highlife.

Might also make some jelly (from xmas stockings). Never let it be said I don't know how to live.
