Well that one was easy Pips!

Front Porch - we don't have one
Entrance - it's clear as OH who is twice my size gets annoyed if he has to climb over anything
Dining Room - still full of boxes from the move - no hope of doing anything in 15 minutes!

    :D:D:D That was easy!

So instead - load of laundry in - three more sorted & ready to go...
Dishwasher on & doing the weekend's worth of dishes - saves water, soap & electric as we only run it a couple of times a week!

(I'm not slovenly really - just hate focussing on housework - would rather stare out the window at the butterflies & birds or go for a wander up to the farmer's fields:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)
    4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! (24 OCT 2016)
(With heartfelt thanks to those who have gone before us & their indubitable generosity.)
    ...and now I have a mortgage! (23 AUG 2021)
New projection - 14 YEARS 8 MONTHS LEFT OF 20 YEARS (reduced by 16 mths)
Psst...I may have started a diary!
  • Waves to Starnac - they're back - wowser!

RT I'm very slovenly! :D But I agree you can't do much in a room full of boxes!!

    :)

Not a bad day, I've jungle proof spray and hopefully no more bites today.

    Put in time sheet
    Had home meals
Got some cones and some free wood.

    All good.

Its the last day for 5 that we're home alone so I need to take some chill time.

    You see I AM learning.

Must see how work emails are and get the monthly invoice off to the treasurer

I meant to say all I did was pick up the post, the only thing in there but it was a nice letter from that random insurance company.

Seemingly I have just over £1k in shares I took out yonks ago that I'd completely forgotten about.

So that 15 minute flying was certainly very productive. :rotfl:

DH reckons I should just blow the loot, I'm not sure what to do.

I guess a wee windfall doesn't happen very often but I don't 'need' anything and I'm not really much of a consumer or much aside grub and wellyboots.

    :A:T:p:money:

I could of course just pay off one of my OD's. That would be deeply sensible.

  • From the fly lady today.

    Dear Friends:

We are headed into the dining room today, it is anti-procrastination day. Your mission for today is to spend 15 minutes decluttering your dining room. It does not matter what you get rid of, just get rid of anything that does not belong in the dining room. Once again start with a trash bag and toss, toss, toss! If you still have time, then grab things that need to be put away and do that. Set your timer and don't overwhelm yourself. This is all about babysteps.

  • Had a nice FB chat with kids, NZ is a very long way away. DD is back in a week, DS in two.

Looking at the solar panel stuff and the potential changes, don't want to rush anything but on the other hand don't want to lose out on a rate if it will change and it looks likely.

We've been quoted 5.5k to install 14 panels on our south facing roof.

Its a thought but should really help. Looked into solar thermal too, but we've no tank. Solution might be to put an electric shower in to bypass the oil and use the solar to run it. IYSWIM.

Thank you Biglass. Funny I was just thinking about that too. I do owe him £500 still but he said to forget about it ages ago.

Something to ponder. You're quite right

As for the 'tother debts its two overdrafts  and the monthly spends on the card (and a bit of the second sneaky ski holiday left......:rotfl:) its not much these days but its still debt.

Will do some proper adding up later and as cheery tells me frequently my student loan doesn't count right. :money:

Man its a long way from the £35k* we owed when we joined here..........

    *included the pesky student debt.

Today is work, home flop. Visitors last night and it was a LATE one.

    Have a gud un folks.
