I approve of confuddled as a word. Confuzzled also works for me. Although not in this instance. :D

Glad all "new job" negotiations worked out Stripes - hope they didn't get it all their own way. :D

Mushy peas - hmmmm. "Good ones" - like you get with "good" fish & Chips, are fab, not sure I could handle the sort that come in a tin, though... :o

I personally think you're probably a bit barmy to try to hang on to the old job as well albeit I understand why you want to...PLEASE don't completely wear yourself out though!

Ok so confuzzled is often my middle name.

Oldest job = sub-contracting hort work - I am stopping, unless of course them on the telly finally see my wonderousness, then I'm off. :D

This is being replaced by a DHG full time permanent post at current place of self employment. AKA the big hoose walled garden by the sea :) which comes with a pension and ridiculously early starts, which probably mean I'll be sleeping for the first part of my shift :) it also comes with holiday pay. Something I'd heard existed but never experienced :P

    Second oldest job = womble-remote posting 7 hours/week - I'm keeping so I told THIS job, I had a new job too.

    So that's the older jobs.

I've recently taken on an extra temporary post at the garden for 5 hours looking after volunteers, which I'll do probably until December when the new person for this starts, I'm merely a sticking plaster. Seemingly I'm good with people, who knew. :P

I'll be doing this post (5hrs) with the new DHG post (39 hours) and the womble post (7 hours) certainly until December at the earliest.

Oh dear this is a bit confusing isn't it.

So I'll still be doing three diff jobs for the foreseable, at least one now has a pension attached to it.

Work life balance - hilarious it would seem. But then again when you live and breath your passions, I guess it doesn't really feel like work.

    Kinda.

Thanks for your help - they did not indeed get their own way. Now I'm thinking they're wondering what they've let themselves in for.

    :rotfl:

I like the old job, I can't imagine not being a womble if they didnt' pay me I'd probably volunteer, I like the balance. But, yes this is under review as I realise sleeping is also important.

PS I can eat them cold out of a tin, but I'm a lady and don't do that often cos ladies doesnt eat out of tins, cold though yes..

New diary might be a good idea to keep eye on earnings and making sure we don't grow into the extra cash - if I'm going to be working f/t I want to make sure that money makes it into mortgage/pension. Not sucked into posh bread and cheese extraveganzas

  • Todays bargains

Some chicken seasoning at 10p a bag.
Ciabatta 80p (a bit posh but there you are)
    Camembert 60p
    Cakes for the boys 99p/4
Beetroot real and raw 39p for 6 so I bought two bundles.
Chipolatas spesh ones 1.39 for 12

Interesting chat with the lady who was a bit oohy and ahhy with my purchased and I told her well that's how we afford some nice holidays and keep the food spends low. She said (oddly I thought) that she's never bought the reduced stuff, as its dodgy.

Well slap a hat on me and call me dodgy then :D

That £1.40 is a slippery slope, you know! ;):D:rotfl:

I'd have had those though - and that beetroot - LOVE roasted beetroot! Yum YUM!!

  • Good!

Im off into work today for a couple hours and then I'm officially not self employed there any more. It does feel a bit odd.

Meeting with HG today and Big Lady Boss. Time to step up a gear me thinks. At least they'll understand why I'm getting paid an extra 85p/hour from next week. Yes I know its a hefty pay rise. (Hence keeping wombles)

Checked banks all the same which isnt' great as still two overdrafts.

Hence new diary focus me thinks, clear one account and get some leverage under the other. Need to check out tax implications for changing jobs mid tax year. (EH? didn't you do the same?)

Focus required but more of that once I've drawn a nice big line under some stuff at work today.

Should get back in time to get on with some outdoors chores and some chill time.

    Have a great one.

I did - BUT are you employed, or Self employed as a womble? If you're employed there (ie PAYE) then it';s easy enough - you need to notify HMRC of being no longer self-employed (you can do it online), then when you come to do your return in April it's as simple as putting in your ceased trading date (31st October for you, mine was 31st December) and that makes it seamless and means you don't have a gap in your NI contributions. You also need to remember to leave the money you've set aside for tax as they will come knocking for it - I managed to forget my final payment but it was small enough that they didn't clobber me with an interest notice, thankfully! (If they had it would have been about 3p, I reckon!) :rotfl:

Tackle the OD's one a time and make a plan. You know you can do it. :T
