I make this (or very similar) when the courgette glut strikes. It is quite a nice, moist fruit cake but doesn't keep (tends to go mouldy ), so do freeze if you can't eat it straight away.0 -
Ooh thanks dawn! I've got visitors at the weekend might give it. Go :-)

Morning lands a bit of fly lady missions for today to start.
Dear Friends:
We are back in the bathroom and your mission for today is to clean our your bathroom trash can. Use the tub to fill the can with hot water and add some general purpose cleaner or dish soap. Let it soak and then scrub the bottom, the sides and the outside. Turn it over and let it dry in the tub and then put it back before someone needs to bathe and ends up taking a shower with the trash can! Have fun! This is so simple and makes a difference.
Your mission for the Stash and Dash space is to spend 5 minutes gathering up anything that you can donate or give away that you no longer love, use or need.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Off to do banks and stuff.
Nice day here getting ready for work, I'm liking this starting at 10am malarkay means I get some other bits done.
Machine in on for a wash and I'll get that hung up before I go out.
Planning on doing a bit of decluttering in the conservatory as I've no bin in the bathroomso that mission is already complete.
Might do my 'stash and dash' on my clothes and put a bag for the charity shop.
Hens fed, dugs fed.
Fish out for tea, which isn't the meal plan but there was a revolution at the thought of courgette curry. LOL We had the 'waffles tea' last night instead.
SO its fish curry instead.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Diary number (erm I forget) - here we are again with a new challenge. I've been so heartened by the support on here that we're on to our new adventure and I couldn't do it without you. Having cleared the debts from £35k (yes that still makes me shiver in 2008 when we started) now its just down to just a student loan and two overdrafts and a tiny loan from a chum, we're doing OK but it could be better.
Reduce and clear the overdraft(s) 2 x £1000 no movement here.:o
Clear the £550 we owe to a chum (0%) we've done nothing about this. eek.
Keep our credit cards paid off each month now they're clear.:money: Mostly they are clear and most months (aside holiday spends they are cleared) :money:
Look at our student loan (just look, not think just yet)denial.
Support our DD and DS at uni - this is eating a lot of my money but they are happy.
Make a largely edible/productive garden to feed us and keep us warm = :money: started this and we've lots of free wood coming in, another two pallets today :money:
Get some chooks :j:j:j:j:j:j three eggs today.
Walk some hounds and keep a newly acquired f/t husband happy and well fed. :j jobs a gud un.
Try and help 'The Rock God' to live frugalls and help us to over pay the mortgage (s) where we can. Not done this yet with the mortgage, but its on the list once the flat is sold. We are living frugally, inbetween the treats lol.
Keep up with the small things we know that work - :money: always dear hearts always. :money:
So dear hearts, the next adventure continues. We've left our windy isle and have reassembled the troups in a rural windy coastland near beaches and forests.
We've just moved into a very pretty but inedible garden. As we're all about keeping the costs down we'll be growing as much as we can. Lucky for me I love gardening eh? :rotfl:
Best wellyboot forward eh? Lots to be done and lists to be made. Its late in the season so we'll have to get cracking in the garden to make room for some edibles for this season.
Thanks for popping by! Those interested in more adventures with wellyboots and gardens you'll find my (largely) edible gardening blog here. Usually haivers (Scottish word for talking nonsense) but never far from the garden, a plant, a decent walk, or the beach.
:A
I just thought I'd requote this to remind myself I'm moving forwards not backwards, which is how it feels sometimes.
Once work hours settle in to a predictable pattern I promise to start getting rid of the overdrafts......
Must check if (second) eek, ski holiday is all paid off as well before I tackle overdrafts.
