I hope everyone's weekend got off to a good start!

Last night I went to see the Peatbog Faeries http://www.peatbogfaeries.com

oddly I'd not heard of the band before even though they seem to be pretty well known! A friend took me along and they were great, a sort of electro-folk mix with added bagpipes. I think it's the first time I've seen bagpipes played in a band like that. The only downside was that the venue wasn't really the sort of place where you could dance, having steeply tiered seating!

I have to say as well, though. Peatbog Faeries. Best name **ever** for an electro-folk band :j
2023: the year I get to buy a car
  • I usually lurk and loiter with intent to post but today I have to pluck up the courage to say that I love reading your diary and your general haiverings. Your hens make me laugh. your two wee dugs looks great fun and I always come away from your diary feeling inspired.

Its a shame that somebody's bad manners and ill nature has upset you and I hope that today has been kinder to you.

Sending a big bosie you way, Helena xxx
  • Hey there Helena that's really very kind. I'm just blown back in from the beach and am happy that you like the haiverings and the dugs.

Much appreciate the hug and the kisses - thanks.

I think to be fair normally I'd have just shrugged it, but my shield of steel is a bit wonky the now. :D I appreciate you ocming out of lurkdom, don't stay hidden!

KC totally agree about the peatbog fairies!

:) and thank you I'm learning to grow some thorns, squishy ones :)

Trog and Mooomin, looks like when we get our teaparty together we've got the band sorted!

RT I'm still giggling about music magpie. I bought some AF wine ot make some AF mulled wine and was asking TRG why it was 'atomised' turns out it was aromatised. DOH.

LS I hope that you're cats and dugs have stopped making poodles by now.

    Waves to all.

Today I spent a shed load of money, scary amount on railway sleepers taking advantage of a big discount managed to get £90 off.

I had a wee lie down after.

But, having pondered and pondered, nowt really came close for the veg patch, so having got that PPI money (Thank you Martin) its been splurged.

I'll thank you kindly for your kind words, here and elsewhere, whilst the little monsters might have been a handful, I do miss them being at home.

    Mucho appreciato.

Took dugs along the auld course today (as on sundays you can allow your pets to take a posh poo on ancient turfs) enroute to the beach.

Ach well, you can take the girl out of the midden but not the midden out of the girl. Beach was busy though.

    Lovely photo!
  • Hey Mooomin I can't think of a better use of such pristine turfs with its unnatural looking grass.

Its the 'tother side of the beach. :D
