Well, the railway sleepers will last, there's no doubt
Lovely photo indeed - and a sweet little doggy shape in there2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Thats what I'm telling myself KC, I've a bit left over as I'd like an arbour/gazebo in the middle of the garden in the middle of the patch
You know cos I'm that posh. (Not)
I just want it to be pretty all year round and want something quite formal/long living.
I opted for using the PPI money for something I'll enjoy for decades.
Well that's how I'm justifying it to myself.
Dugs wave hello.
As do I. Those links you sent were really useful TY xxTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

I'm glad they were helpful, Pippi.
Its a great idea to use the PPI money for something so long term. I've just remembered my brother has raised beds of railway sleepers - cos the soil round him is clay, like mine. And he grows a *lot* of his own food now - okay, he buys the lemons to make lemon curd ... but thats all :rotfl:
Have a good evening :kisses3:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I'm re-vamping my garden and thinking about sleepers. How many high are you going to go? I'm thinking 3....

Phew Pippi - delighted that you are back to being your upbeat posts and thanks for your gentle encouragement to de-loiter.
Love your photos on the beach with your wee dugs and will continue reading and having figured out how to 'subscribe' - I've subscribed :j
Bosies all round, Helena xxx0 -
Hey thanks Helena - bosies to you too!
The wee dugs ate something vile at the beach, go figure, sometimes 'free' isn't good, they stink!!!
Hey Lucielle, I'm using my sleepers one tall on their ends, I needed 16 so I can only afford them one layer tall. What you using yours for? Interested now.
I measured out the veg patch area tonight again and I've laid out the membrane (from teh back of the garden) in the pattern I want, its slightly squint as the 'eye line' doesn't look good with everything 100% in the middle, sometimes you've got to work with line of sight, so it looks like there will be an extra bed on one side to balance it all up.
Hey ho. This may of course always change!
Your brother's lemon buysing sounds ace KC. You can grow alot in a small space. My beds will be 2.4m squared and a few extra bits lobbed in too. I'm hopeful that we should crop loads in that space.
Hey hello chaps. Just in from city dropping TRG to hairyplane, dropped DD's car back to her and then horsed home on the train via family for a wee sort out and catch up. Funeral tomorrow, SIL's mum sadly passed last week. Far too young.
Hugs to you all. Meal plan later, this week its all about everything I like to eat as I'm home alone.
Hope you're all good.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Poor wee dug, free lunches not always what they seem - eeeek! xxxx0

Sorry to hear about the SIL's mum, Pippi ... TRG won't be with you, as he's off on a hairyplane? Can you get there and back in the one day?
And yes, some menu treats for you, please, as you're on your tod. Especially as you're on your tod with smelly dogs2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Morning all. Wrote a post and lost it.
Hmmm
Kettles on, tired built a bed last night and made it too, nice sleep.
KC thanks for asking they're about an hour/and a half away
Helena sometimes free isn't good.
Morning lands grey here, work to do before heading over the 'other' bridge on the silvery tay.
Spoke to a chum last night who I was going to call into today but she's riddled with the cold, so whilst I'm nice, I'm not that nice.
Brekkie - bagels and hot choc I think.
Hope you all have a great day.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Meal plan for me
(expect lots of milk based sauces as TRG hates them and I love them and theres a 4 pint of milk to use up.)
Mon - cauli cheese
Tues - chicken a la king (white sauce and veggies) with rice
Wed - caui coconut thai curry.
Thurs - art exhibition in city, pondering tea out........
Fri - supper at the local hall for a community event
Sat - Baked tatties with tuna
Sun - Yorkshires and something vegetastic for a meatless roast.
That's me plan
Brekkie =bagels or porridge (not together)
Lunches - leftovers or omlettes
Snacks - open cupboards and pour into self, no one here to judgeTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
