How ridiculous to expect an apology.Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud.0

Just said a silent prayer to my now deceased mum, apologising for having my wedding in 1999 in the same church building where we had dad's funeral in 1980.
She accepted the apology and felt it was long overdue. How very dare I?Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

I would take it in a compliment to be honest. I don't get why she is upset to be honest."More people would learn from their mistakes if they weren't so busy denying them." - Harold J. Smith:cool:0

Um another person who thinks no apogy is due - why on earth should her cousin 'thank' her for 'finding' the venue?? She didn't invent it!
My sister has booked the same makeup person and humanist celebrant for her wedding as I used, I was pleased she obviously thought my makeup and ceremony went well!! If she wanted to use the same venue I'd be flattered too!Part time working mum of DS (2015) and DD (2018).

I could possibly see her point if the party had been just before or after the wedding. But three months later? Get a grip and treat it like a compliment.0

No not reasonable to get upset about it.
She should take it as a compliment really, they obviously thought she picked a top class venue if they were prepared to book it for a 60th.
It's an overreaction.0 -
Actually, similar happened with an ex girlfriend of mine.
It took ages to find her, wine and dine her, buy her presents etc. Finally did the deed with her, then dumped her.
My mate slept with her three moths later, should he apologise to me?0 -
Maybe the cousin did not tell her because they know she is off her head :rotfl:0
