Good grief, maybe I should get upset our nephew decided to use the same wedding photographer as us after seeing our wedding photos.

    Way too over the top.

Can see this thread being one the OP regrets starting.

What's going on with these forums today? It's bonkers!! She's bonkers!! She should take it as a compliment that someone liked the venue so much that they decided to use it too.

She'd get words from me, but it wouldn't be an apology!

    An apology for what exactly?

The venue is not exclusively for her wedding so I am afraid she is onto a non-starter looking for an apology.

Should the venue apologise to her for renting the place out to other people?

What I got from her is that she is upset not because they used the venue, but that they did not mention it to her beforehand, or say something like 'thank you for finding such a good place' because she put in so much effort into finding a perfect venue which is actually very reasonably priced.

@duchy - that family thrives on drama - its like corrie & eastenders rolled into one.

... let's just hope that the next person to get married (who was invited, or who might have seen the photos, or heard about the wedding) doesn't choose a white dress too!

Tell her age needs to grow up.

The venue doesn't belong to her. It wasn't opened exclusively for her to have her wedding.

Even if the party had been held there the day before her wedding she'd have no right to be upset. Never mind want an apology.

What exactly does she want the apology for?

So her argument is that we should all be reinventing the wheel on a daily basis?

You'd think she'd built the place, not just googled it!

Sounds like yet another loony who focuses on a wedding rather than a marriage, she sounds incredibly immature.

Also, how would the cousin know how much effort had gone into finding the venue anyway? When I go to a wedding I don't know if that's the only venue they considered or the 50th place they looked at.

This thread has given me the best laugh I've had for ages. For gawd's sake, NONONONONONONONO it's NOT reasonable to be upset about this! Don't even get me started on what IS reasonable to be upset about - family illness, injury, death...cruelty to vulnerable people or animals...oppression of women in many parts of the world...people starving, or dying for lack of basic medical care...I told you not to get me started. Anyone getting upset about such a thing as the OP describes makes me wonder if they are deserving of oxygen. Sorry to speak so frankly but honestly....
