Is it reasonable to be upset about this?

Actually, reading the replies, most people seem to think this is about 15 (on a scale of 1 to10) on the 'monster raving loony' scale. :rotfl:
Although somewhere out there is a man who thought "yeah, I'll sign up for a lifetime of that!" :eek:Public appearances now involve clothing. Sorry, it's part of my bail conditions.0 -
At least she only wanted an apology, not compensation for the "stress"!
Never heard anything so daft.0 -
Does this woman really exist OP? Or are you just creating scenarios to see how everyone reacts? I'm starting to have my doubts....if you only think she's a 6/10 on the looney scale when everyone else reckons she's a 10 for sure!0

I suppose I can be a bit of a drama queen myself, and I understand different people can get upset by different things that may not seem reasonable to others, which is why I gave her a 6 - I would say a 10 is bunny boiling. I can assure you she is out there walking around just like you and me.0 -
I booked my wedding and told all our friends where we having it about 18 months in advance. A month later a couple in our small group of close friends booked the same venue but for a fortnight before my wedding.
I wasn't bothered at all.0 -

What a nice, sensible, grounded person you sound. :T
Shame that the OP's friends sister sounds so much up her own a**e.
If anyone had a reason to be miffed about somebody else using the same venue, it's you.;)
Still, this thread has given us all a good laugh.0 -

Generally the test of "reasonable" is by majority of opinion. (I would say its through being fair, neutral etc but that could lead into a "but whats fair" debate)
I havent checked back every reply. But I'm pretty sure there was a unanimous opinion that she's 12 slices short of a loaf.
For everyone to agree.....she'd have to be pretty high up on the scale. Its rare, especially on forums. Theres usually always one sympathetic response. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
This thread has made me laugh because I am currently feeling a tiny bit upset (just as unreasonably!) about the OPPOSITE thing. My close friend who was my bridesmaid last year just got engaged and she was telling me about the local venues she is going to look at....and my wedding venue was NOT on the list. I feel irrationally a bit slighted and as though my venue is not good enough for her...! If someone else used my wedding venue for something I would feel really complimented. I don't understand where your friend is coming from at all.0
