I know it's a slap in the face of feminism, especially when I work in a field where there is absolutely a glass ceiling women have yet to break through, and I am quite an ambitious person, but I reckon I could quite happily stay at home and keep the house clean.

I'm no cook though, hate cooking, but I reckon if I were at home all day I could happily learn to improve on my repertoire which currently consists of beans on toast/egg on toast/cheese on toast/toast.

That said, went to make beans on toast when OH was away recently, I was stumped when I remembered that we don't have a microwave...genuinely had to think about how the heck I would heat up beans without a microwave

Oh, also can't abide ironing...just buy non-iron clothes and use the ironing board as a handy (and often decorative) sideboard!

I'm not selling myself very well here am I?!

Fret not ladies – we will work something out.

My stipulations of marriage are three fold:

    1) You must like wine (especially on special occasions – I call them “weeknights”)
    2) You must be able to fight mould; and
    3) You must like Highland Cows

Mr Mars currently does the cooking, bins and a lot of the cleaning (Just realising how good a deal I have got going on here) I recon if I brought him home another 5 wives he would be quite happy to continue with this arrangement. We have also got Mummy+2 who is happy to get involved in these things called cooking and cleaning. So that is Mara_Uk7 and I sorted. He picks good wine as well so that helps with point one of our arrangements ;)

He is very good with children so I’m pretty sure we have a ready-made babysitter too, supersaver1000 AND he also knows we have a microwave AND where it is; so beans on toast are sorted, t2rry!

This group marriage thing is starting sound good, Doobop, isn’t it? ISN’T IT?!? You know you want to…yes you do… :D

    Onto more serious matters.

I go rejected for my passport application this morning. Turns out when changing your name to your married name you need to show a marriage certificate and not just the empty case that the marriage certificate lives in…… … pretty unreasonable if you ask me...

Mr Mars has OBVIOUSLY taken the certificate out of its case and been admiring it, because he still can’t believe he actually got to marry me. Will need to have words with him to stop doing this… :rotfl:

So I got told I had 20 mins to hop foot it back to get my ACTUAL marriage certificate and get back to the passport if I wanted it today (I needed it two days ago), or I could wait another 2-3 weeks for an appointment.

£20 in a taxi and some serious perspiration and I was back in that passport office…by 2pm today I should be have my 5th passport. Yes, 5th.

    xoxo

I dont have Highland cows, But I do have Aberdeen Angus & Simmental (Milka) Cows if thats any help. Mostly quite tame and able to be petted, yes, even the bulls ...

Mr Mars should have a copy of that certificate laminated and up on this wall, with a smaller wallet sized copy for daily admiration ! Hes a lucky boy to have such a wonderful wife !

I must love all cows, else OH would disown me...

    Sounds like a keeper. :)

If I bring my OH, he's very good at doing all the washing, ironing and cooking too...and gardening...and making me lunch to bring to work...and the bins...and hoovering and mopping. (quite glad I'm marrying him now I think about it!) He's just physically unable to put towels back straight or the toilet seat down  !!!!

I can't fight mould.... maybe I can just come and visit this crazy marriage rather than being part of it, yes that sounds better :)

We are having amazing weather and for the first time ever our little cottage is too hot! Hopefully a spell of dry hot weather and my dehumidifier may mean the end for nasty mould! :A bye mould

    Hello all!

Glad to you are continuing to fight the mould Supersaver100! You should wear a cape :)

Sorry I have been AWOL but have been away for the last few days! My brother was doing one of these Challenge events where you walk/run/hike/crawl a ridiculous distance. He is fine, I on the other hand, am exhausted and in agony. Man that was hard!

I have had 5 hours sleep since Friday morning and I feel like I have hit a brick wall...I might have hit a brick wall...the weekend is all a blur of tiredness and lattes.

What that weekend highlighted to me was my lack of organisation and preparation for anything makes life sooo much harder! I am fine with having my stuff in plastic bags etc but seeing others who had these boxes and bags all separated and labelled and lists and sheets. *Hangs head in shame* :(

I think I need to spend some money on some new stuff and bin a lot of old stuff. Here is an example of an issue when packing...

    Me: I need a t-shirt
    (Husband starts pulling out t-shirts)
Me: Not that one - that is my gym t-shirt, not that one - it is cotton and gives me a rash, not that one - too short for this, not that one - too tight, not that one - it is really old and uncomfortable, not that one - I don't like it and only keep it as it was free.

WHY do I have all these t-shirts that I cannot/do not wear?

Sister in law also discussed lists - she has lists for everything. I need to add some lists to my blog, I think! My go to basic lists for events/weekends and then build from there.

Anyway, that is my tired ramblings for today. Tomorrow I need to start a plan of action, but for now I'm finishing my red wine and going to bed.

    xoxo
