Yes it does...thank you for taking the time to explain it to me

Hope the new iron is working well for you...can Mr Mars learn to iron his own work shirts?

Makes perfect sense Mrs Mars! You're very controlled if you're able to do that! Not sure I could have that much money in the bank without finding an excuse to treat ourselves!!
And I too made my own invites, and very proud of them I am...apart from the minor typo in about half of them which I hope goes unnoticed!!Debt Free I FFEF I Building Savings I 2025 Plan:- Regular Savings £8,200/£10,000

Morning DFWs! :j
I don’t know how I do it. I move them to another bank where I do not have a current account - this seems to give me a fear to touch the money. I definitely feel I am now worlds away from the person I used to be. In many many ways. It has taken 5 years – but I have changed. :money:
The “pocket money” plan, so we have a deposit for a new house, is the new challenge. Once I concur this, I’m pretty sure I’ll be ready to take over the world…
So when Iwas clearing my debt, it wasn’t snowballing that worked, for me. I never really started making any impact until I cleared my overdraft. Then I started with the smallest credit cards and then when I only had one card everything became somuch easier – I got 0% offers (now split into two 0% cards) but for me it was getting rid of that overdraft that was my turning point. I probably wasn’t the cheapest way starting with the overdraft or the credit cards with the smallest balances, but it was the only way I could break the cycle. Actually seeing my pay not being sucked into a black hole each month gave me more focus to then clear the credit cards.
Now with savings I tried keeping them with my current account, same thing, did not work. I learned the only way I would not dip into them was to move it them to another bank and even though I can access them it’s like they are untouchable. It’s all very weird.
To be fair, Mr Mars does his ironing. I’m not good enough you see, “I don’t get the shirts right”, so I am not good enough to iron, but I’m an expert when they break and when buying a new one…
I asked Mr Mars how he likes his new iron, he was as indifferent as he always is…”it’s alright”… which infuriated me as it always does…”JUST ALRIGHT?!?!”
I was also thinking was that Fraggle Rock t2rry and atolaas – how cool. I LOVEDFraggle Rock as child. I still know the song…”Down at Fraggle Rock, work your cares away, dancing’s for another day”… well, It’s something like that… :rotfl:
Blog post today – it’s nice to be nice.

Mr Mars and I forgot to put the DATE of the wedding on our evening invites...
We then had to print it in afterwards - the ink was a slightly different colour so we also hoped no-one noticed or would just think it was the light! :rotfl:Originally debt free 27th November 2014 :T

Ha - of course, iron expert, glass blower, I'm a jack of all trades, I am!
I PAINTED my own champagne flutes for my wedding after I spent £55 on a set of 4 personalised ones for my sisters wedding!
You can get 4 champange flutes for £3. Cost to buy the materials (I use 3 different colours of paint) but since then I have made 30th birthday, 40th birthday, thank you, engagement anniversary and other wedding ones.
I'm not a expert and I don't sell them or anything as I'm not that good compared to the people who actually do this for a living (I can only do like 3 desgins well but Mr Mars thinks I should still sell them on the side) I just do it to save me some DOLLA BILLS, Y'ALL! SHOW ME THE MONEY!!! I think they make a great personalised gift and cost a quarter of the price. :money:
I then buy a lovely box and some matching ribbon to go with them and some tissue paper and put them in all. It is all very lush, I swear. The box and ribbon etc make them look very expensive.
Brief Blog post on it here, I made some really nice 30th ones that were baby pink and baby green will see if I have any pics of them. Any questions if at first lets me know and I will TRY to help!

Is the picture of your house? It is soooooo beautiful! I would love to live in a house like that.Mortgage March 2013: [STRIKE]£55,956 [/STRIKE]£38,500 (aim to pay off by 2020)

Thanks if at first..., I really liked how the 21 card turned out. It was literally a 29p card from card factory too! :money:
I much prefer the white, baby pink and baby green ones I did, I'll need to get some pitcures up!
It is indeed. BUT it is rented. And we pay more than the average rent.
But Mr Mars and I had a horrific time with neighbours (vandalism, fires, floods, partys, thefts) in our old flat. To the point that we would go down to stay at our parents house JUST to get a goodnights sleep. It was awful.
We decide to we could afford to pay more on rent and cut back on other areas. Even for a year until we got ourselves sorted. Best. Decison. Ever. :T
Took us about 3 months to relax in our own home. You should always be able to relax in your own home. Its not a huge house, but it has NO NEIGHBOURS attached to it and that is all I really look for in a home these days. It could have been a shed we were renting and I still would have been happy.
So now the plan is once these credit cards are cleared to save, save and save some more so that we can own our own house. I don't want much. Just my OWN home with NO NEIGHBOURS.

£1.06 found as Roadkill at lunchtime!!!
If there was a homeless man around I would have gave him the £1 but there was not! SO by the laws of my head that means I get to keep it.
So that will go into my jars tonight!
