Hi If at first, CRT86, Mara_uk7 AND Supersaver1000! :hello:

Mara - feeling even MORE stupid than the de-humidifer moment - A FLIPPING FUSE!! It just cut off so that sounds like it could be an issue. Mrs Mars is going to investigate tonight. I like how he used the word "investigate"...over a fuse....on an iron...

Perhaps looking like I might not have got to grip with my money issues as well as one would have thought! I was ready to buy a heater and an Iron when I might not need either!!! :rotfl:<--- I know its not funny but I feel he was appropriate.

We will check another fuse in the iron tonight BEFORE I go and buy a fuse. I'm getting there...slowly...

I did research some irons though and SHOULD we need a new one I believe I am going to go with the Tefal FV3680G1 Superglide steam Iron (I think all things sound like they should be in a Dr Who episode these days, Supersaver1000) £26.24 and very good reviews from Argos. That is all my research really includes to be honest. :D

Supersaver1000 - check you out throwing spanners into my works. Marry me... .... ....

I was thinking though, I feel my house needs a good "dying out" so was going to put the heating on.

Ohh dear, research shows that De-humidifiers are expensive  I think that will need some more research than my iron :rotfl:I do think you are correct - I think a de-humidifer is what we need more than a heater. Or some sunshine would work too ... flipping Scottish weather. I think summer was that one day the other week there and I missed it...

Good luck on the iron hunt - nothing worse when things break when you need them.

It broke in the middle of Mr Mars ironing his work shirt - his face was a picture! Shouting at me what is wrong with the Iron. Did you know I am Iron expert? Neither did I...

He is quite anal about these things (you know, ironing - clearly i'm giving a good impression of how i go dressed to work) so then was frantically trying to iron the rest of his shirt with luke warm iron...I watched on...chuckling away . :rotfl:

It was funny at least... until i need to iron something, of course...

LOL. Mr Mars sounds like Mr Supersaver - I am an expert in all things not working too. Try this for some condensation advice http://www.leicester.gov.uk/your-council-services/housing/council-housing/housing-repairs/condensation/

I'm not sure what a heat recovery fan is but £250 sound a lot. I have a £50 eBay bid in at moment for a dehumidifier and there is one on gumtree.

Thanks for the iron tip, that looks like a good price. I'll have a look.

Good luck with the iron issue. I don't do ironing myself.... Prefer to look a bit wrinkled and have a few minutes more in bed.

    Hi All

Gosh it's late! 11.05pm is past my bedtime...I'll be quick!

Pfft if If I didn't have to see a lot of my managers I wouldn't iron. Do you know some people iron their knickers, boxers and tea towels... WHO DOES THAT?!?!! I'm just glad it's clean knickers I'm putting on every day!!!

Mr Mars never checked the fuse...anyone want to know his excuse... Anyone?

    HE WAS WRITING AN EMAIL.

That was it. His excuse. Writing. An. Email.

    :wall::wall::wall::wall::wall:

Thanks Supersaver1000. I'm just trying things out :p I'm not great... but god loves a trier!!! :A

Hopefully going to try and fail more DIY attempts - I feel I do more as I have started a blog. The pressure. Of a blog that no-one reads. It's intense :rotfl:

    Xoxo

I like to stick things in the tumble drier and hang them/fold them, by the time they've been sat on in the car for 20 mins you wouldn't know. Ironing is a minimum in our house for me now. Mr Super has only recently started ironing - I have had a lot of years of ironing lots of shirts, and he's only recently discovered this skill! I would keep the old iron and it's occasional drips but can't give Mr Super any excuse or he'll be through the gap like a rat. (I call him 'Mr don't do it today if you can put it off 'till tomorrow' :rotfl:).

    Have a great day.

    Off to the dementors :rotfl:
