He hasn't missed the thread. He understands the issue entirely. It is you who is missing the point.

Have you clicked through my link in post #145 or not?

The problem here is that you are not following the instructions. You are doing them 'in a fashion' and diverting from what you are being told. So you are getting it wrong.

160 posts should tell you something.

    One more time....

If you are going into the shop to buy the version with a TopUp, buy T-Mobile.
If you are getting an Upgrade with Orange, you do not need to buy a TopUp.
I have provided you a direct link to the Upgrade for £59.95 in post #145.

Both espresso and I have produced pictorial proof that the Upgrade is £59.95 in total.

So clearly the issue is you not following the instructions.

I have given you exact instructions. Follow them exactingly and you will not have a problem.

Talk us through, step by step, what you are doing during the order, so that we can identify where you are diverting from the simple instructions.
    Believe me, they are simple.

Finally got with the programme, realised it was my fault with the pricing on the CPW site, I was looking under the wrong category, should have been looking under "Upgrades".:o

I have gone in to order it and was fine until it asked for the Sim No. It doesn't seem to recognise mine. It said to input the long number, I tried with both the first set of 6 nos. and then all of the , even with spaces between the 4 sets of nos. but nothing, it doesn't recognise the Sim ??

Where do I go from here ?

Finally done it, had to ring them in the end as I was trying to order online to T-Mobile and obviously it would not accept my Sim No. as it was on Orange, had to stay with Orange when I placed the order on the phone as I cannot order an upgrade to a different network, so i will have to use the credit I have left and then swap over the Sim when it arrives, load it with my £16 vouchers and then order my "Internet data" package at the same time. As the new Orange phone uses a micro sim i will have to get my old one cut down at a shop to fit (don't know what they charge for that) !!

Have to go lie down now, I have a headache :(

Complicated only because you are not following what has been written. I'm sure that I have highlighted this to you.

There is no topup necessary with an Upgrade.

    Look here
So it's just a matter of swapping the SIMs.

Thanks for all your help and patience !! Couldn't have done it without your help and all the others. :T

Is this cheaper than going to a shop to get it done?

As I wrote before....it is a Combi SIM. That means it fits both a Micro or Mini socket.

No need to cut anything down or to use an adaptor.

That's great, how clever, didn't realise that, saves me an extra thing to sort out.:T

You can't be serious! I just got off telling you the your choice was Upgrade with Orange for £59.95 or new with T-Mobile for £59.95 plus £10 Topup.

So then you tried to Upgrade to T-Mobile??:rotfl:

As for getting your old SIM cut down.....no. CPW or Orange should supply you with a new SIM, to which they should transfer your old balance.

How much of a balance do you actually have with Orange?

Your vouchers are £10 x 2. You need to apply the Talk or Text package before you add the credit or apply the 6 month Internet package.

Impossible if you clicked on my link and followed the instructions. You just added extra steps...ignoring the exact instructions.

Every question you have asked has already been answered.

You are not reading the posts, so end up asking the same questions and making the same mistakes.

I am 64 !! :o Plus there are 9 pages on this thread and it goes back over a week or more, there is a lot to take in. I can't remember what I had to eat yesterday, let alone what was said during last week.:rotfl:

I have now read all the posts over again and things are becoming a little clearer. :rotfl:

CPW told me when I ordered the phone today and asked about transferring my credit over, that as the new phone is an upgrade I would not be issued with a Sim and just to transfer the old one into the new phone. When I pointed out my Sim is not the right one she said I needed to purchase a new Micro Sim when I get the phone so I will have to use up the credit on my old phone first. I don't have much left anyway, only about £2.50.
