Perhaps better to keep it simple.
Just do the upgrade online via the CPW website. If you insist on going instore, you should test the phone using a SIM other than Orange to confirm that it is unlocked.
Another slight complication is that the eBay seller has run out out Micro SIMs, so you can order a normal one and get it cut down to Micro size in a shop. Worth it, as you get a £5 credit with the SIM.
Where did you read they have run out of Sims ? It didn't ask me what sort I wanted when I went on to buy one.0 -
Personally I think Viber is rubbish, it had a bug when.i dowloaded it and i went back to whattsapp... didnt like it at all. And who needs multiple apps to do the same thing anyway...
Get a second hand smart phone and buy a sim only contract for 15 quid a month. EE will give you unlimited texts 1200 minutes and 1gb of data for around that on 4G... At home on wifi your whattsapp is free and when you are out and about the whattsapp txts will come off your data allowance. 1gb a month easily does me. With whattsapp you can send pics free as well... its free for a year at least...0 -

I know that you are a Newbie. But that is no excuse for posting without at least skimming through the thread.0 -

I found Viber ok, it did the job for me, someone told me they found viber wasn't that good for calls. Whats wrong with Whatsapp, again it works for me, does the job, no harm in having 2 or 3 apps if there is a problem with 1.0 -

I saw no mention of Micro Sims just "T-Mobile Pay as you Sim" £0.99 here : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/231166984041. As I said I have never bought a sim on its own before and the one that came with my phone was just a standard sim as they didn't have broadband phones when I had mine.
I presume it is the Broadband one on a separate page which I didn't see until I have just gone into this page : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mobile-Broadband-SIM-T-Mobile-pay-you-go-inc-5-credit-/261403691381?pt=UK_Mobile_Home_Phones_Sim_Cards_CV&hash=item3cdcdfc975. Sorry !0 -

Micro SIMs. I told you to read the posts properly. :money:
Update: The SIMs supplied are Combi SIMs. So both Micro and normal Mini SIM is included on the card. So no worries on that front.
I also sent you a link to buying credit via PM.
So for £16.99 you get £25 worth of credit.
So if you choose the International Plan; you'll get six months of Internet/Data and seventy minutes of International calls in July. Plus £5 left over for the odd cll and text message.
If you choose the Text Plan; 100 UK text meesages this month, unlimited text messages next month, six months of Intert/Data and £5 credit left over for the odd UK call and/or text message.0 -

So the one I posted in my last message - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/231166984041 which is what I have done.
Will pick up your PM and decide which one I want. Thanks0 -
NiftyDigits wrote: »You can set up the International Plan by yourself by sending a text msg(SMS) containing INT MONTH to 146 or you can call 146 (it’s free).
For the Text Plan: Send TEXT to 146 or call 146 (it’s free)
There is also a Talk Plan(they stopped advertising it long ago):
You can choose just one plan at a time.Though of course you can add a Booster. In your case the 6 Month Internet Booster.
Thanks. Is there a code on the Top-Up vouchers then when they arrive? What happens when I swap over my Sim to the T-Mobile, will I lose all my contacts?0
