I am slightly tempted to ask the new landlady if we can have pets now but I would either get an old cat, a hamster or a rat as I don't want to find that I have to move in a few years and can't take pets with me. It is difficult to rent with pets, renting with pets and in housing benefit accommodation is very hard. I do really miss having a little furry bundle to cuddle.
I'd love a furbaby but every place i've lived has had a no pets policy

Yay! Have a wonderful weekend together, MU!
I was very naughty under the last landlord and had 3 secret hamsters over the years. Well, not entirely secret because his wife who acted as the contact point knew but told me not to tell him! I do find it really sad without a pet, I have had them for over 20 years.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

I will give him a cuddle from all of you
I do hope those of you who currently aren't in a position to have pets get to do so again soon (if you want to of course lol). He's been with us for nearly 18 months (9 yr old male cat) and I can't imagine what I did without him.
Will try and post a picture later, but technology is not my strong point0 -
I would love to see him! I have had 7 cats in all and loved every one of them. The last of mine now lives with Milliefleur after the landlord told us we could keep her and within 3 weeks of living here changed his mind. I really didn't appreciate that and it made me very sad for a long time. The one closest to my heart I rescued at 4 weeks old after her mother was killed with rat poison and hand-reared her. She lived until 14 when she died of kidney failure, largely due to her kidneys never having formed properly due to ingesting poisoned milk. She was my shadow and would follow me everywhere, the moment I sat down she would be on my lap. I still miss her today.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Thank you.
The light is good today. I'm a really bad photographer but a friend who is a professional used my animals as models for some art photos for competitions once.
She was on my lap. The fussy bit on the right is kiwi's rear end.0 -
I don't understand why landlords object to hamsters when they're in a cage all the time unless they're in their ball. Rats, I suppose they think might chew through cables, and cats I can understand, too. But hamsters? What damage can they do?
LIR is that Mauve Squeaker or Pink Whistler?
Those 'names' crack me up!(I just lurve spiders!)

It's mauve squeaquer. Pink whistley is right here so when the sun comes out ( if it does) I'll take a snap of her too. If it doesn't come out she'll have to hVe a shadey pic.0

My landlord banned goldfish, too MU! And sea monkeys! His wife who I got on very well with felt the whole thing was ridiculous so told me to go ahead and have hamsters and just make sure he couldn't see them if he ever came round. She dealt with all the administration and contracts anyway so it wasn't really being sneaky, it's just neither of us ever mentioned it to him! The most ironic thing was she was a cat breeder, they also had a dog and an aquarium but he was totally against his tenants having any pet at all.

The light is NOT playing shiny ball now. Here is a rather unflattering pic of pink whistley. ( with heap of just washed out door wear on the blanket box behind
, please excuse mess)
