One way you could give them publicity is to write to your local paper, asking them not to reveal your name, and tell the paper how kind they'd been. It's up to you how much of your circumstances you tell them.

WaS, how wonderful that all sounds. What a lovely person that manager must be to do all that for you. Did you have a wonderful time?

  • Really, I have tears in my eyes just knowing that they did it so well for you and that people are so kind. How funny that they gave you a penguin! I hope you didn't tell them about CBPs that attack people in naughty places :D

Ooh yes, you must tell us about Millefleur as well. And :hello: to greenval (sorry, I was so excited for WaS that I didn't say hello earlier :o )

Hello, greenval! How sweet of you to pop out of lurking! I really did have a wonderful time!

Milliefleur was overjoyed to see me! I got stuffed with cake and chocolate and she sat next to me and kept cuddling me. She looks much better, she has put on weight which she needed to do and looks much better for it. We had a long chat about her carers and I told her that I thought it was a good thing! WaSp also got told off for not buying my presents yet!

That's a good idea, Pyxis! I think that I will do that!

It was amazing, code. The memory will stay with me for always and I have my bauble with the photo of Santa and I hanging on my tree!

I did laugh when Santa handed me a penguin, JM! Honestly I am so touched by their kindness, I can't believe that they made such an effort for me. I never, ever expected them to do so much or to stay in character throughout it! I cannot express how much it meant to me, I am completely overwhelmed.

My guide elf did whisper a story to me, though. Earlier in the day another elf was cleaning out the reindeer's field. Now they are friendly as long as you have food. He didn't have any and he got charged and ended up pinned up against a fence! The worse part? They had a party of children watching at the time! So he had to act as if he was fine and gave a very high pitched laugh and said "Oooh, these reindeer are cheeky!" whilst staying very still and waiting to be rescued by the other elves!

Oh, and I was brave enough not to wear my blanket as there were only the staff around! So I have photographs of me for the first time in around 6 years!

And me. Agree with the above totally. Can't wait to see the pictures.
  • I'm so happy to see lurkers de-lurking to share the happiness! (I need a smilie doing a little dance, not just jumping up and down :D)

  • Hello, susan! Aw, it is so lovely to see our lurkers! I shall put up pictures as soon as I can! The displays were amazing, they had put so much work into them. I would have paid to see those alone.
